JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

As a UX Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring the design and graphical production of video game menus and user interfaces are of high quality. You will be responsible for creating graphical user interfaces that effectively communicate the necessary information to guide players and enhance their overall gaming experience. You will work closely with the Art Director, Game Designers, and Programmers to ensure the delivery of a user-centered design.

  • Apply user-centric design methods, including prototyping, user validation, and design workshops, to ensure excellent user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers to create wire flows that solve conflicts and optimize player experiences.
  • Develop detailed user-centric interactive UI wireframes and prototypes to map out exact user flow and interaction design intent.
  • Consult and provide constructive feedback on game design, UI design, and other user experience related aspects based on player feedback or research from our audience.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with designers, UI artists, UI tech artists, programmers, QC, producers, and user research teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • A user-centric mindset and experience in UX design tools. Deep knowledge of cognitive and behavioral psychology, and the ability to incorporate this knowledge into the design process.
  • Experienced in video games, preferably on multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Unity3D UI.
  • Ability to learn new operating systems.
  • Ability to take and give feedback constructively and adapt to given directions.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and collaborate with other designers and artists to ensure the delivery of the best possible user experience.
