JOB DESCRIPTION

Your life at Ubi

The Ubisoft Data Office – Domain Enabling team is looking for a Data Engineer to join their ranks. This role calls for an engineer with expertise in building data pipelines with Python and SQL, to develop innovative solutions for the HR & IT Data Domain. You'll have the opportunity to be part of on an international team distributed in Bucharest, Paris and Montréal and work with cutting-edge technologies.

 

What you’ll do

  • Understand business requirements to design, build, maintain and optimize data pipelines (ETL jobs) and related data warehouse models / objects
  • Test the solutions implemented and analyze potential data quality issues to determine the root cause
  • Ensure that formal documentation is produced for all development tasks
  • Contribute to the project meetings / workshops and provide the necessary inputs to support the project planning and execution
  • Communicate and collaborate with the business partners; ability to present technical artefacts to a non-technical audience

QUALIFICATIONS

What you’ll bring as experience

  • Knowledge and experience delivering scalable, maintainable and reusable code components to build data pipelines with SQL, preferably in a Cloud environment –Snowflake, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing and developing Data Warehouse solutions
  • Experience with data pipelines orchestration tools, e.g. Airflow
  • Experience with modern DataOps practices - CI/CD, Monitoring & Observability, Unit testing, Release Management, etc.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics presentation tools / technologies such as PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau etc.
