JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

You will join the Build & Orchestration team, part of the IT Games & Studios (ITG&S) group. This distributed and multidisciplinary team includes system administrators, developers, and DevOps engineers. Together, they support and evolve the infrastructure and services powering game development pipelines used by Ubisoft studios worldwide.

The DevOps Engineer will contribute to scalable, reliable, and high-performance services that directly impact game production. This role combines system operations with strong development expertise, and includes collaboration with various production teams across the organization.

Main missions:

  • Operate, maintain, and enhance our build orchestration infrastructure
  • Collaborate with game production teams to support custom pipelines and tools
  • Support Linux-based applications, operate in Kubernetes environments
  • Develop and scale backend services to optimize build distribution performance
  • Design and maintain scripts to automate routine maintenance tasks and ensure system reliability.
  • Deep dive into existing codebases or CI/CD pipelines to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot full-stack issues from infrastructure to application level
  • Implement observability and monitoring solutions
  • Promote automation and DevOps best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in a global on-call rotation

QUALIFICATIONS

Experiences

  • Experience in operating infrastructure in production Linux environments
  • Track record in managing Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in international, cross-functional teams

 

Skills and knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible/Chef
  • Monitoring with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, or Go
  • Hands-on with CI/CD and automation best practices
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills

 

Bonus if you have

  • Experience in the gaming industry or large-scale content distribution systems.
  • GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
