JOB DESCRIPTION

The Local IT Technician will be based in Tokyo office and will act as the right hand of the Regional Manager for all Operational activities on the following scope: Tokyo and Taiwan.

The Local IT technician is responsible for the high quality and efficiency of the day-to-day operations supporting Ubisoft Employees and acts as an expert resource in areas of expertise.

He/She is also responsible for working closely with our Events Team to support the entire event based on these sites.

Responsibilities

The Local IT Technician will perform the following main and routine tasks:

  • Offer on-site support and remote support to end users on hardware (workstation and printing) and standard software’s (Windows OS, office pack)
  • Ensure Security team best practices application for workstation
  • Build and install the new employees work environment
  • Ensure proper meeting room configuration
  • Interact with external vendors regarding repair of hardware
  • Deliver one-on-one or group classroom technical training to employees
  • Gather employee satisfaction through ticket survey
  • Be proactive, identify and communicate potential improvement to its manager
  • Ensure follow-up on issues and requests
  • Manage inventory & Asset Management
  • Manage the local infrastructure (server room) of these sites in collaboration with other IT Teams.

In addition, he/she should also perform all the tasks related to support event and other business offices:

  • Be customer liaison between Events team and IT team
  • Work with Events Team on all things IT and Capture related
  • Work with IT Vendors and Partners to implement solutions and improve processes
  • Plan, track and manage the setup of each event (documentation, resources, timelines, shipping, responsibilities, etc.) Setup & Install IT Equipment (PC’s, Laptops, Network)
  • Setup & Install Capture Equipment (Game, Video, Audio)
  • Maintain Capture Process (Game, Face, Player Audio, Team Chat Audio)
  • Work with Production Studios to obtain and test build capture
  • Manage build installations (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Great team spirit

Knowledge:

  • Fluent Japanese skills (spoken and written)
  • Intermediate English skills (spoken and written)
  • Expertise in PC and laptop support and latest hardware news
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Good knowledge of printing materials
  • Good knowledge of networking, cabling
  • Knowledge of multimedia equipment is an asset

Training & Relevant Experience:

  • College diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical support to end users.

Hybrid: We are committed to promoting a flexible working policy, as we value in-person interaction and collaboration. Our hybrid work model includes a minimum of 3 days a week in our Tokyo office and the remaining 2 days working from home.
