JOB DESCRIPTION
As IT Production Manager within the Games & Studios in the Squad & Operations team, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team that delivers and supports Ubisoft’s online game services throughout their lifecycle. Acting as both a team leader and project manager, you will ensure the delivery, reliability, and operational excellence of the platforms and tools that support our live games. You’ll balance partner satisfaction with operational and budgetary efficiency, championing best practices in project delivery and service management.
Team & People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support a cross-functional team, consisting of 4 team members in daily operations and long-term goals.
- Collaborate closely with team members and other team leads to allocate resources and manage priorities effectively.
- Foster a proactive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
- Support professional development and create development plans to prepare the team for future technologies and challenges.
Project & Product Management
- Plan and coordinate IT initiatives and infrastructure projects that align with production and studio goals.
- Define and manage project scopes, milestones, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with production and technical teams.
- Ensure that all deliverables progress in alignment with agreed planning and expectations.
- Establish and maintain a roadmap of IT services, processes, and improvements that add value to production partners.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business value, feasibility, and stakeholder needs.
- Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to internal stakeholders and partners.
Operational & Service Management
- Ensure smooth pre-launch, launch, and post-launch operations for assigned game portfolios.
- Supervise service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management, to maintain operational excellence.
- Track and resolve issues affecting service quality and escalate as needed.
- Act as a liaison with production teams to ensure expectations are met and support remains consistent throughout game lifecycles.
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Monitor and manage the budget for IT infrastructure, services, and software.
- Conduct regular budget reviews and updates and present findings to leadership and partners.
- Make recommendations to optimize cost-efficiency and strategic value.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Previous experience working with game production team on IT( Development / Infrastructure) side is preferable
- First-experience in team leadership and project coordination is a must, ideally within Agile or DevOps environments.
Skills and Attributes :
- Ability to coach, communicate and collaborate with international teams and stakeholders.
- High adaptability and ability to work in a fast-changing environment
- Solid organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Pragmatic problem-solving approach.
- Customer-oriented mindset and team spirit.
Knowledge & Tools :
- Agile, DevOps, and/or ITIL (incident/change/problem management) methodologies, preferable.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
