JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Lead Artist, you'll be working on the colorful, creative world of Rayman.

Thanks to your expertise, your role will be key in creating the game's atmospheres while also ensuring the accessibility of the final product. You will be responsible for maintaining the creative and artistic direction.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Technical Art Director and the programming team to design specific tools and features for in-game lighting.
  • Communicate with other disciplines (animators, level artists, level designers, etc.) to ensure their needs are met and implement an effective lighting approach.
  • Demonstrate strong artistic skills.
  • Understand technical constraints related to platforms and game engines.
  • Provide teams with support and expertise in materials (PBR), atmospheric effects, and other lighting-related topics.
  • Analyze the creative context and visual references of an effect, deconstruct them, and recreate them within a real-time engine.
  • Ensure the in-game lighting quality meets expectations and make necessary improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

You :

  • Have a strong understanding of light behavior, color theory, and image composition.
  • Have a Solid artistic knowledge of lighting techniques, both real-time and pre-rendered.
  • Show Creativity and proactivity in finding solutions.
  • Have a strong artistic sensitivity in general.
  • Have mastered Jira.
  • Have mastered Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Have excellent problem-solving abilities and good communication skills.
  • Have a good knowledge of the other roles in the video game industry.
