JOB DESCRIPTION

Working closely with production stakeholders (development teams, QC, etc.), the QA Analyst is responsible for structuring, executing, and monitoring quality validation activities throughout the development cycle. The role ensures that QA efforts are relevant, effective, and aligned with project priorities and the current state of the build.

Responsibilities

Test Planning

  • Help ensure comprehensive QA coverage that is appropriate for gameplay, stability, and the functional scope of the project.
  • Adapt test plans to project developments and changing circumstances.

QA Documentation

  • Gather the information required to produce clear and useful procedures.
  • Regularly update documentation to reflect changes in tools, teams, and processes.
  • Provide tutorials covering build deployment, QA tool usage, and QA best practices.

Feature and Content Development Tracking

  • Contribute to continuous validation throughout feature development.
  • Track the progress of features and content and provide high-level quality status reports.

QA/QC Operations Support

  • Serve as a recognized quality point of contact within the assigned area of responsibility.

Application and Advocacy of QA Standards

  • Provide constructive feedback based on playtests, design documentation, and QA tickets.

This role requires a strong collaborative mindset, as World ownership is distributed across several production units. It offers a unique opportunity to learn alongside experienced developers, with a near-constant support role for the World Management team based in Annecy.

Experience in, or a solid understanding of, Level Art and/or Level Design is considered a significant asset and will be highly valued, given the daily interactions with these disciplines and the coordination challenges associated with them.
