For its third edition, Ubisoft Mumbai organized a Game Jam in partnership with the Institut Francais. The initiative is now opening up to middle and high school students by increasing the number of programs offering an introduction to coding and game devlopment.

25 students from IIT Bombay were divided into groups of 5 and built game prototypes with the help of 4 Ubisoft Mentors who are experts in the field of Level Design, Programming, Technical Art and 3D Art. Working with Unity and Perforce, the Ubisoft mentors helped the teams with Level Design, Mechanics Design, System Design, Coding, Tools, Concept Art, and 3D Models. Under their expert guidance, they successfully completed prototypes in just two days.

The final prototypes were then showcased for a Ubisoft Jury.

Team JellyFliks emerged as the winner of Game Jam 2019 and Ubisoft Mumbai employees were so excited and motivated by seeing what the students created out of the resources at hand. Each member of the winning team received a brand new PS4, complete with some Ubisoft games.

Due to Covid-19, the 2020 Game Jam was delayed. However, a completely virtual game jam is planned for the beginning of 2021, if conditions allow.
