Ubisoft sets up and supports social and environmental projects to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive society. While corporate social responsibility is now a key issue for any company, we need to go further to help bring about far-reaching and lasting change. Collaboration between businesses, charities and public bodies is more important than ever. Each stakeholder brings a unique set of skills, perspectives, and expertise which, when combined, can amplify the impact of social projects.

Since 2015, Ubisoft has worked with the Association Petits Princes supporting their mission to fulfill the wishes of seriously ill children and inspire them to continue their road to recovery.

Ubisoft is co-constructing with the association and the pediatric departments of public hospitals a tailor-made program to combat the isolation of hospitalized children and provide them with entertainment.

This led to the creation of the "Playroom" program, which involves creating and equipping a games room for children and teenagers in pediatric wards. For each Playroom, the hospital department, the Association Petits Princes and Ubisoft work together to define the precise needs of the hospital and the children being treated there. Each installation is therefore unique and tailor-made.

Ubisoft employees also take time to meet the children and share fun and entertaining moments with the young patients throughout the year, including creative workshops and Just Dance games.

Since its launch in 2018, Ubisoft teams have set up Playrooms in 14 hospitals in Paris, Rennes, Bordeaux, Lyon and Montpellier, where our studios and employees are present and can get involved in running workshops within these game rooms.

In 2020, the program has been extended to other associations: Timmy, that supervises young unaccompanied minors in Paris and Silver Geek, that fights against the digital divide among seniors in Nursing homes. A total of 9 additional playrooms have been created with those partners.
