At Ubisoft, we’re all about creativity, collaboration, and innovation – and we know that emerging technologies like generative AI (GenAI) can be useful tools when preparing your job application. But just like in our games, what matters most is your originality and voice.
We want to hear your story, not an AI’s version of it. Here’s what you should (and shouldn’t) do when using GenAI tools as part of your recruitment journey with us.
📝Application Stage
✅ Smart, Responsible Use
GenAI can support you in shaping your application – as long as it’s still you behind the ideas. You’re welcome to use GenAI to:
Refine your thoughts – to improve the clarity, structure, and flow (after you’ve written the original content yourself). Proof-reading is more important than ever. Always review and revise to make sure your voice comes through.
Checking grammar and tone – to help you polish your writing so it’s more professional Get formatting tips – to help organise your CV or cover letter
💡 Pro tip: Be mindful of your privacy. Remove any personal details (like your name or contact info) before inputting content into AI tools.
🚫 What Not to Do
We’re always looking for real people with real experiences. That means:
Don’t use AI to invent skills, qualifications, or experiences – all content should be true to you. Avoid copying AI-generated responses directly into your CV or application – it’s usually generic and won’t help you stand out.
🎨 Portfolios & Creative Work
We understand that GenAI can play a role in today’s creative workflows. You can use AI tools to support your portfolio development, as long as you’re transparent.
If you include AI-generated or AI-enhanced artwork in your portfolio: • Clearly label which pieces involved the use of AI • Explain how AI was used and which tools — for example, concept generation, visual enhancements, or finishing touches • Make sure the work still shows your own creativity, direction, and decision-making — AI should support your process, not replace it
Submissions that misrepresent your use of AI, or lack transparency, may be disqualified.
🎮 Interviews and Assessments
✅ Preparing with GenAI
We know interviews and assessments can be intense – and GenAI can be a helpful rehearsal partner while you prep. You can use it to: Learn about Ubisoft – Explore our teams, values, and games. AI tools can hallucinate or provide incorrect answers, so just be sure to double-check facts and cross-reference with official sources like our website. Understand interview formats and anticipate role-specific questions Practicing responses – Build confidence in expressing your ideas clearly Think of GenAI as a coach – not a substitute. The real conversation is between you and our team
🚫 What Not to Do
When it’s time for the real thing, the spotlight should be on you. To keep things fair for everyone, candidates are not allowed to use AI tools during any interviews or assessments. Do not use AI during interviews to generate real-time answers, summarise questions or guide your responses Do not use AI tools during assessments (e.g. technical, coding, or cognitive tests) unless specifically allowed Do not replace your own input with AI-generated responses We want to see your creativity, problem-solving, and passion – not an AI’s. If it becomes clear that a candidate has misused AI tools in way that misrepresents their skills and input, or against the guidance above, Ubisoft reserves the right to disqualify them from the selection process.
