What is your background?

I went to a Sixth Form College in Hampshire and studied Sociology, Religious Studies and English Language. I have always had a keen interest in social media and marketing too, so whilst at college, in the summer I did a few weeks work experience at a brand management agency in London. I then went onto to travel for a year exploring lots of different countries like India, Australia and Oman! After that I was an intern at Ubisoft doing Digital Marketing and I loved it!

What is the most exciting project you’ve worked on?

The most exciting project I have worked on was for the For Honor campaign. I was asked to make some cool social engagement assets for For Honor. So my manager and I came up with an idea to make two cardboard samurai armours out of Xbox One and PS4 boxes, to send to Sony and Xbox. So with the help of a creative agency and a print company we made this great idea become a reality! Once they were ready, we sent them off to Sony and Xbox, who then did lots of social media around it, it was a success! It was a challenging and fun project to lead on.

What did you learn during your internship?

I have learnt so much during my internship. I have developed the skills to stand up and do a presentation in front of the whole company, which is something I never thought I could do. I have also learnt so many great skills about advertising on social media, which is so relevant in the technological society we live in today!

Why would you recommend this internship at Ubisoft to other students?

The Guildford office is a fantastic place to work, there’s a gaming room, pool table and a ping-pong table! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, so you feel at home instantly. Internal events such as summer parties and Christmas parties are always a great laugh to get together with people you may not get to interact with day to day.

In your opinion, which qualities are required to succeed as an intern at Ubisoft?

I feel that to succeed you need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and ready to learn, because you will learn SO much from everyone you meet here at Ubisoft.
