match format

  • Official Siege Esports matches typically use 3 formats: best of 1, best of 3, and best of 5.
  • The official map pool for Esports competitions is composed of 9 maps.
  • Each map is played in a first to 7 rounds format, with a 2 rounds difference between the 2 teams being required to end the map. If the score of a map goes to 6-6, the winner will be the first team to win 8 rounds.

Esports circuit timeline

At the highest level, the season of Siege Esports starts every year in May with the Reload event and ends in February of the following year at the Six Invitational, crowning the world champions.

Throughout the season, teams compete in regional leagues and at the Major to qualify for the Six Invitational.

The top 4 teams from each region will qualify to compete at Major at the end of Stage 2.

The Six Invitational qualifier will also give any team,  professional or not, a chance to compete at the the Six Invitational.

In total, 20 teams will compete at the Six Invitational, 9 of them through winning specific competitions, and 11 from acquiring enough points throughout the season.

Between Esports seasons, the Challenger Series gives a chance to new teams to earn themselves a slot in the following season's Regional Leagues."

There are four regional leagues in Siege's competitive Ecosystem:   - The North American League (NAL) - The South American League (SAL) - The Europe and Middle East League (EML) - The Asia Pacific League (APL)

Additionally, the APL is broken down into 3 sub-divisions:   - APAC North (Japan & Korea) - Asia - Oceania

Regional competition is split into 2 stages where teams compete in each stage.

In each region, the combined results of Stage 1 and Stage 2 will determine which teams compete in the Regional Finals.
