YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE
As a Project Manager, you are the front-line manager, working with a team of production professionals to ensure the delivery of the highest quality games. You facilitate processes, methods, and tools to deliver the game project following the best practices established by the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Project Management
- Support the Associate Producers to coordinate and optimize the work of the production teams, including prioritizing tasks, identifying risks and proposing solutions to keep to the project schedule and budget;
- Synchronize dependencies, work done and risks across the production teams frequently, including with other Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Technical Leads;
- Assist in the development of schedules that translate project goals into action and work to ensure the success of the project;
- Act as a Scrum Master, facilitate sprint planning, conduct daily standup meetings, hold sprint retrospective meetings, hold sprint reviews, and organize Scrum teams;
- Assist the Associate Producers and Project Managers on staff planning and seating plan changes;
- Take meeting notes and communicate them to all relevant parties;
- Propose, implement and facilitate process improvements;
- Conduct expense reporting for the production team;
- Carry out routine daily tasks and procedures of the project;
People Management
- Demonstrate exemplary and transparent leadership to inspire and motivate your teammates;
- Be an ambassador of the game, the team, and the company both internally and externally;
- Manage the performance of your team, when applicable, with clear and challenging objectives;
- Organize and facilitate team-building events for the production team.
Resource Coordination
- Liaise with external vendors to source required resources or assets;
- Coordination with studio teams including IT, workplace, procurement, and marketing to ensure the smooth functioning of the production team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management position (Lead or Production role)
- At least one full game (shipped) project under your belt in the role of Producer, Associate Producer or Project Manager
- Game development tools knowledge and work experience (Jira, etc.)
- Strong Project Management Skills, with experience in Agile Methodologies
- Broad understanding of game development processes – production, design, code, art.
- Capacity to analyze risk and make contingency plans;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to give constructive feedback in line with the scope of the project
- Ability to work in an constantly evolving environment
- Experience managing multiple teams
- Autonomous and proactive attitude
