Celebrating Five Years of Ubisoft Philippines

Partager:

Ubisoft Philippines is now half a decade old.

What a journey it’s been for the team, from shipping multiple flagship titles, such as AC Valhalla and Far Cry 6, to being certified as a Great Place to Work. To celebrate, we took a trip down memory lane and had virtual wine toasting during our 5th Anniversary Town Hall.

SETTING THE STAGE FOR AAA

“When Ubisoft said it wanted to expand in Southeast Asia, I immediately raised my hand because, number one, I knew Filipinos could do it,” our Founder and Studio Manager Chip Go said in an interview.

“Number two, it was a chance to come home and do what I love.”

Chip founded the studio in 2016. Five years later, he’s now leading the second largest production hub in the region, with over a hundred of the world’s finest talent in game development.

To date, Ubisoft Philippines has worked on 10 AAA games, including flagship titles such as For Honor, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Skull & Bones.

In the midst of the pandemic, the studio was recognized as a certified Great Place to Work and was listed among Universum’s Most Attractive Employers, ranking Top 8 among local IT students.

There are truly a lot of reasons to celebrate. That’s why for our Fifth Anniversary Town Hall, the studio organized a Virtual Wine Toasting.

A TOAST TO FIVE YEARS

To mark the occasion, everyone was sent a box of cold cuts and cheese, with complementary fine wine, which we all enjoyed together during the event.

We laid the meat and cheese on a custom Ubi-engraved charcuterie board.

Part of the fun was wearing a 1920s-inspired outfit. The ladies and gentlemen of the studio did not disappoint. [Article 8] Photo 4

We tuned in to the stream together where we looked back on our journey for the last five years. The stream was a collective effort among team members, filled with laughs, project updates and nostalgia.

We even got a special greeting from our CEO, Yves Guillemot, himself! -Article 8- Photo 7 No better way to wrap up the celebration than with toasts from the team. Old and new team members alike shared messages of love and support to one another.

We’ve come a long way, but Ubisoft Philippines is just getting started.

We look forward to co-developing new and memorable entertainment experiences.

Here’s to Creating the Unknown. Cheers!
