The expansion is set on the island of Awaji, beyond the Osaka Bay. Players will discover a completely new open world region.

The Ubisoft Bordeaux studio (creators of Assassin's Creed Mirage) is the studio behind this expansion.

The expansion offers over 10 hours of additional content.

If you pre-ordered any edition of the game, then the expansion is free for you. Otherwise, the expansion is available for purchase on all AC Shadows platforms including on Nintendo Switch™ 2.

Access to the Claws of Awaji is contingent upon completion of the main story arcs for both Naoe and Yasuke. Make sure you have finished the quest Out of the Shadows, which is available after completing the personal quests for Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Then simply track down Hanzo’s contact at your Hideout in Settsu and you’ll be able to embark on the new journey to the mysterious island of Awaji. Please also note you need the base game to access the expansion – this is not a standalone.

Following the cancellation of the season pass, the season pass quest is accessible for all players on launch day.

You can access the quest from your hideout after completing Act 1

This collaboration will be time-limited. For the Dead By Daylight collaboration, the content will be available until May 26th 2028. After that, the quest won't be playable anymore and the store offers won't be available for purchase any more. However, by May 26th 2028, if you already have played the mission before or bought the bundle items, you will keep the rewards from the mission and the store items in your inventory.

The Nintendo Switch™ 2 version will have all the recent updates and free content drops, including the Claws of Awaji Expansion. It will also work with cross-progression to Ubisoft Connect, so you will be able to pick up where you left off. This version also offers a new way to play with touch screen features in all menus including world map, store and hideout.

The Attack on Titan quest is not available anymore so you cannot access it.

This collaboration will be time-limited. For the Attack on Titan quest, the content will be available until December 22nd 2025. After that, the quest won't be playable anymore.The store offers will remain available for purchase until November 24th 2027. If you already have played the quest before December 22nd 2025, or bought the bundle items before November 24th 2027, you will keep the rewards from the mission and the store items in your inventory.
