Rainbow Six Siege world championship in São Paulo to feature unprecedented action with exclusive animation and theme song celebrating player community unity

9 février 2024

The city of São Paulo is about to host the largest tournament in the history of Rainbow Six Siege, and there are plenty of reasons for fans and players to be excited. With expectations of packed stands, the presence of the world's top professional teams, and total prize money of $3 million, the first Six Invitational held in Brazil will also be marked by a global and unprecedented action that highlights the country's strength in the gaming scene: for the first time in its history, the game's premier competition will have a theme song. The new composition was created by the band Ego Kill Talent and features contributions from Andreas Kisser, the guitarist of the legendary Brazilian metal group Sepultura, and Rob Damiani, the vocalist of Don Broco. The track comes with an exclusive animation. The final version was released on February 9 on the official Rainbow Six Siege profile on YouTube.

The animation, titled "We Move As One," depicts fans and players running together to Ginásio do Ibirapuera, in the capital of São Paulo, the venue for the Rainbow Six Siege World Championship between February 13 and 25. The content reflects the positive sense of unity that a globally competitive championship provides and the constant expansion of the Six Invitational, the game, and its entire ecosystem. It features the participation of five distinguished players in the competitive scene: Doki (G2), Canadian (DarkZero), iconic (M80), Psycho (NIP), and HerdsZ (w7m). To further immerse fans in the competition atmosphere, on February 9, a lyric video with the complete lyrics of the new Six Invitational theme will be released to help fans learn the song. Bassist Niper, a dedicated Rainbow Six Siege player since the release, details how the work relates to gameplay: "We organized the lyrics and riffs to follow the flow of a game round, and this can be perceived subjectively by players." He adds, "I can't wait for people who have the same level of immersion as I do to enjoy the music."

Both the short film and the composition incorporate references to Brazilian culture, which plays a significant role in the greatness of the Rainbow Six Siege player and spectator community and its tournaments. Two out of the last three international game championships were won by Brazilian teams. The material also represents the spirit of fan unity around a common passion and pays tribute to the players with a product that captures the essence of the championship's next host city and projects it energetically into the game universe.

The Six Invitational in São Paulo is the first held outside of Montreal with a live audience. The tournament features 20 teams, including five Brazilian teams: FaZe Clan, LOS, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Liquid, and w7m esports. On the day of the grand final, in addition to enjoying all the emotions of the competition, attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness a live performance by the band Ego Kill Talent with Andreas Kisser and Rob Damiani, performing "We Move As One" for the first time to the public.

The animation studio responsible for the short film's execution is Histeria!, with an extensive portfolio in the games and entertainment industry. The musical production is led by producer Samuel Ferrari from mdois studio, responsible for various works in the gaming field and musical collaborations with a number of renowned Brazilian artists with worldwide projection.

Tickets for the live finals at Ginásio do Ibirapuera are almost sold out. Those interested in attending the event can still purchase passes for the three days of competition or individual tickets for Friday (23), always through the Eventim website. Prices start at R$20. The audience will also be able to follow the competition through Ubisoft's official channels on YouTube and Twitch or through watch parties organized by content creators.
