the asia pacific league (apl)

overview

To get you up to speed, the APL is played across 3 subregions: APAC North, Asia and Oceania. Each of these subregions will follow the exact same league structure through the group stages & playoffs as any of our other major leagues, but will then come together during our Major Qualifiers & the Regional Finals for the much-anticipated return of inter-regional APAC clashes in our T1 circuit. For a more detailed look at the structure of each subregion, including regional & international qualification pathways, you can look at our previous announcement here.

broadcasting & streaming

As the group stages have now wrapped up Stage 1, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that our remaining Stage 1 action for the APL will be covered live, in studio, on our main Rainbow 6 channel. The playoffs, major qualifiers and regional finals will all have in-studio (or in-venue 😉) broadcasts for each of our subregions, and all our matches will have full costreaming coverage with our official streamers! Stay tuned across our socials for more information about where you can catch all the future action for the APL.

apac grassroots

Each of our subregions has an official, Ubisoft-supported T2/T3 circuit that is aimed at introducing their communities into the R6Esports pipeline and competing for future spots in the APL. Here's a brief overview on each region's official tournaments.

oceania

  • The REKT Pro Circuit: The RPC is Oceania's debut Faceit Pro League tournament, run by well-renowned production and esports partner, REKT Productions. Within the RPC are two divisions, one for pro players and one open bracket, so that players of all skill levels can dive in and experience competitive R6 as a solo player. As we've just kickstarted the first open division, keep an eye on
REKT's socials for more information about sign-up!

  • The Logitech Oceanic Rivals: The premier T2 circuit within Oceania, REKT's Oceanic Rivals will take place between August and September 2025 and feature 8 teams that are hot on the heels of Oceania's APL representatives, brought to you by Logitech. Check out the sign-ups and more here!

  • The Gauntlet: For the third year running, The Gauntlet has been the pinnacle of Oceanic grassroots. Inviting teams from all over the Oceanic grassroots scene, and a handful of teams from the APL, The Gauntlet gives the top dogs a chance to show that they're the baddest in the yard and the underdogs a chance to show that their bark is equal to their bite.

  • The AEL University League: The Uni Leagues are back, in collaboration with the Australian Esports League, and Macquarie University has already claimed the win for the first semester of the year. To contend with the champs next semester, stay up to date with the R6 University League on AEL's social media here.

  • The Phoenix League's Women's & Gender Diverse League: After a string of fantastic community cups and with a team full of experience from across Oceanic R6, we've partnered with the Phoenix League to produce a W&GD competition that will kick off in early July. Follow along with all the action here.

asia

  • South Asia Fragnation Community Cups Kicking off this year's grassroots tournament, South Asia is officially part of the plan. The Fragnation Community Cups will begin this June and run across four seasons to August, giving players in the SA region an early opportunity to gear up and get into competitive shape ahead of the bigger challenges to come.\ Roadmap : https://www.instagram.com/p/DK1GRIiypAh

  • Southeast Asia Elite Community Series & South Asia Elite Community Series: The Elite Community Series, the most renowned grassroots tournament in Southeast Asia, is back. This year, we're pleased to announce that it will feature separate tournaments for both SEA and SA. As the pinnacle of grassroots competition in Asia, the top two teams from each region will advance to the APAC Cup Asia Qualifier. The ECS provides a platform for players across both Asian sub-regions to participate, compete on equal footing, and fight for their path to the APAC Cup.

  • Southeast Asia Bootcamp Community Series: Now in its second year, the mid-season BCS, will be a perfect opportunity for players to sharpen their skills ahead of their next big shot. In a competitive scene full of twists and turns, for those who aspire to rise above the rest in the region, this is where preparation meets purpose.

apac north
