Rainbow Six Collegiate is officially back for Year 3, and things are heating up! We're celebrating with new initiatives for the Spring League and a host of exciting updates. Ubisoft and Rally Cry are thrilled to continue their support for the dedicated collegiate community of players, teams, and fans. 

And leading the new changes: the launch of the Community Council. This new pilot program is designed to gather key student leaders, giving them a direct role in shaping the future of our ecosystem. 

Next, the Unified Collegiate Championship (UCC) makes its return! This exciting event will feature top competitors from Rainbow Six Collegiate (R6C) and CollegiateR6 (CR6) battling it out at the Scholastic Esports Championship (SEC).

what's new? 

  1. Community Council - A new initiative for the league, designed to bring together key student leaders to help shape the future of our ecosystem. 

  2. Extended Broadcast - More thrilling shows for the Playoffs. 

  3. New RSQ Format - The Regular Season Qualifier (RSQ) now spans five weeks, with two matches scheduled per week, resulting in a total of 10 matches. 

  4. UCC - The Unified Collegiate Championship is back! This exclusive LAN event will feature the top-performing teams from Rainbow Six Collegiate and Collegiate R6.

community council 

We are launching a new pilot program, the Community Council, to engage key student leaders directly in shaping the future of our ecosystem. They will serve as representatives for the community and players, actively working to enhance the league. The current Council members, serving a one-year term, are @Nickb2a, @BotanicaPan1c, and @WayTooDnice. 

ucc 

The Unified Collegiate Championship (UCC) is returning! This event will pair the top four contenders from R6C against the top four from CR6. These top collegiate teams will battle during the SEC. 

The competition is structured into two main phases: an online Seeding Stage and the Playoffs, which will be held live at the SEC in May.

Heads up, student clubs and communities! We're still offering a fantastic opportunity to support and empower student leaders in organizing unforgettable gaming experiences on campus. Applications are still welcomed through the Rally Cry platform for support packages, which may include food and drink, exclusive merchandise, or even stipends to help fund your next student event.

spring season dates 

  • Registration Opens: January 6th, 7am PT/10am ET 
  • Registration Closes: March 18th, 12pm PT/3pm ET (Rolling registration throughout the season) 
  • Regular Season Qualifier (RSQ): February 7th - March 21st 
  • Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) Tournament: March 28th & 29th, 12pm PT/3pm ET 
  • Playoffs (Quarterfinals & Semis): April 4th, 12pm PT/3pm ET 
  • Playoffs (Finals): April 5th, 12pm PT/3pm ET

tournament format 

Eligibility: All players must reside in North America, attend an accredited North American College or University, have a clean player record with no outstanding bans and follow the Code of Conduct to participate. 

regular season qualifier 

  • Format: The season is now structured over five weeks, each comprising two rounds. 
  • Schedule: Default match times are now odd rounds @ 11am PT/2pm ET & even rounds @ 1pm PT/4pm ET 
  • Advancement: The top 6 (or 12) teams who meet the minimum match requirement will qualify for the Playoffs. Teams must play at least 7 out of the 10 possible matches to qualify.

last chance qualifier tournament 

Teams that do not qualify but participate in most of the Regular Season will be entered into the Last Chance Qualifier, a two-day tournament where the top 2 teams will earn a Playoffs spot. 

  • Eligibility: Open to all teams, even those who did not play in the RSQ. 
  • Format: Single elimination in a Bo3 format. 
  • Dates: March 28th & 29th, 12pm PT/3pm ET 
  • Advancement: The top 2 (or 4) teams will advance to the Playoffs.

playoffs 

  • Format: Top 8 teams, from the Regular Season Qualifier and LCQ, will compete in a two-day single elimination bracket. 
  • Broadcast: Now covering all rounds of the Playoffs! 
  • Dates: April 4th & 5th

prize pool 

NEW Raffles: With raffle drawings throughout the season, every competitor will have the chance to win a share of $500 worth of R6 Credits. Stay tuned for details. 

Total Prize Pool: $10,000 split across two phases, per phase: 

  • 1st place: $2,000 (40%) 
  • 2nd place: $1,000 (20%) 
  • 3rd & 4th place: $500 each (10% each, 20% total) 
  • 5th to 8th place: $250 each (5% each, 20% total) 
  • UCC Prize Pool: TBD
