Few bands packed this much range into a handful of singles. The Guess Who land on Rocksmith+ with "American Woman", "No Time", "These Eyes" and "Undun", covering bass, lead guitar, alt lead, rhythm guitar and piano, with a chord chart on every track.
"American Woman" was never really written so much as caught: Randy Bachman was restringing and retuning mid-show when he stumbled onto the riff, the rest of the band fell in behind him, and Burton Cummings improvised the words on the spot. It went to number one in the United States. "These Eyes" came from the opposite instinct, built by Bachman out of piano chords before Cummings finished it, and the piano arrangement here is the reason the song still works as well at a keyboard as it does on guitar.
