Canada Division Update

January 05, 2021 · 2 minutes read

With the 2020 Canada Division Season completed, we have turned our attention to the future of North America Rainbow Six Esports. For 2021, we have an exciting change to announce to keep North America on top of the Rainbow Six Esports Circuit. We have made the decision to merge the Canada and US Divisions into one, unified North American Division. The unification of both divisions will ensure that all North American players are competing at the highest level of competition.

The goal of the Canada Division was to grow the talent pool in the North, and we want to thank our Canadian teams for pursuing that goal with us in a very challenging year. We believe that this unification is in the best interest of growing the Canada and US Rainbow Six communities and will provide an interesting competitive element in 2021 as we continue to improve our league. We are actively working with the four Canada Division teams about next steps to transition to the North American League.

In addition, we are also pleased to announce that the Canadian Challenger League and US Challenger league will merge into a single, unified Challenger league. This league will continue to play online as a continuation of the 2020 season.

These are just the first changes that we will be making for 2021, and we are excited to reveal more information once the Six Invitational wraps up in late February.

2020 was filled with many unforeseen challenges and changes, but we appreciate your devotion to Rainbow Six Siege through it all. We are working hard to bring you a North America League that the whole community, fans and players alike, are proud of and deserve. We are confident NAL 2021 will be stronger and a step towards our ultimate vision.
