With spooky season in full swing, local studio groups, the "Social Club" and the "Green Committee" invited team members to join in with a cosy crafting afternoon to make some Halloween and Autumn themed rag wreaths.
Emma Collier, one of the co-leads of the Green Committee, said Rag wreaths are a super fun and sustainable way to use up old fabric scraps, ribbons and other materials you may have at home, and the best part is that you can customise it for any season. Whether you want something bright fun for Halloween or warm and rustic for autumn, this little project has you covered.
We got to work taking one strip of fabric or ribbon and tied it on to the wire frame in a simple knot. As we worked our way around the frame, we pushed the strips close together so the wreath looked nice and full.
Thanks to the Green Committee and the Social Club for organising this event!
