The Discovery Tour App: AlUla is a free mobile experience to discover the history and heritage of AlUla, one of Saudi Arabia's most remarkable historical locations.

Using the world recreated in Assassin's Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory, this standalone experience covers the history of AlUla from prehistoric times to the present day, and dives into its rich heritage through Codex entries, engaging interactions, and mini games.

The app has three sections and is free to install and free to play:

Access Codex: consult carefully selected encyclopedic entries on the history and heritage of AlUla. Created with historians and experts, these entries feature detailled texts accompanied by historical images from partner institutions. Players can view these objects in detail using a zoom functionality, and some of them also in 3D using Augmented Reality, to have a more up-close look.

Explore AlUla: embark on a gamified, narrative-driven journey that takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. Each mission tasks you with exploring historical locations and learning about AlUla. The knowledge you acquire is actively used to complete missions and eventually decipher an ancient inscription.

Enter Chronology: follow the timeline of the historical periods that have shaped AlUla, from prehistoric times until the present day.
