winter has arrived, but it's no time for cold feet 

The Rainbow Six Siege X Seasonal Series third edition is here, this time for the Winter Season in Europe/MENA, North America and APAC North, whilst players in South America will be able to enjoy its summer edition.  

We are also happy to announce that the region of Oceania will be getting its first Seasonal Series as well.  

As with its past two editions, the Winter and Summer seasonal series will allow both console and PC players to play together and show off their skills regardless of which platform they are playing on.  

If you are up for the challenge, you can shake the cold off this winter, sign up on Challengermode, and aim to claim the title of Winter Seasonal or Promise Champion if you think you have what it takes to defeat R6 veterans, fearless newcomers, and the returning Seasonal Champions!

While the Seasonal Series runs as usual around the world, North America has a bit of extra spice this time, as it will run in collaboration with Dedsafio. Never heard about Dedsafio? It's an event created by the streamer elded that happens several times throughout the year and invites other content creators from around the world to present a challenge for them where they declare a winner at the end. This time, the challenge is the Seasonal Series! 

The Dedsafio Challenge will run during the first week of the Seasonal Series from January 31st to February 1st. Whilst players will be able to play the Seasonal Series as normal and grind to qualify for the Contenders League, the content creators invited to Dedsafio will play in the same queue during that weekend alongside everyone else but have their independent point table to define the best content creator team. You can follow the challenge exclusive point table on the official Dedsafio social media channels. 

This means that even if they are playing in their own competition within the Seasonal Series, you will be able to try and queue up with them in game during those days, all while they stream on their channels. If you queue up with your favorite streamer, remember they are looking for a challenge, so play to the best of your abilities and show them what you are capable of!  

Over 100 content creators or what is the same, more than 20 teams will be invited to the Dedsafio Challenge, so get ready as thousands of eyes watch you try to become the Seasonal Champion! Make sure to follow Dedsafio's social media channels to get the full list of streamers, in the meantime here is a quick sneak peak of some of them:

how seasonal series works 

New to the Seasonal Series? Don't worry, here you have a quick explanation of how it works: 

1. Get your team ready and create an account in Challengermode 

2. Sign up for your region's Weekly Ladders and make sure to check the schedule to see when the matchmaking queues will be open. 

3. At the time of the competition, hit the Matchmaking button and find an opponent to play against. 

4. Play as many matches as you like during the available schedule, get some epic wins and earn points to get the best score you can each weekend!

You will be paired against people with a similar record as yours during the competition, so don't worry if you get a few losses, there is plenty of time on the schedule to get a good score, and remember, only your best five matches of each weekend count towards your team's overall score.  

If you are one of the top eight teams in your region during the first four open ladder weekends, you will qualify for the Contenders League and compete for a place in the Contenders finals.  

But if you don't qualify, don't worry, you will still be able to play in the Promise Division, which has changed from its predecessor seasons and now consists of 2 weekends of open double elimination brackets for everyone who wants to join and try to reach the Promise Division finals.  

Same as in the Autumn edition, the Prize Pool has been fixed to be the same in all regions, so here is what you can win if you become a Seasonal champion or a Promise legend:

BECOME PART OF THE SEASONAL SERIES 

Competing is not the only way that you can participate in the Seasonal Series. During the Contenders League and the finals phase, community casting will be available for this Autumn edition.
