Feature improvements / New features

General

• Audio Exclusivity is now ON by default for PC players. This is to help address some concerns about audio latency.

Noteway

• A new option has been added to change finger number color on piano. The two choices are:

  • White, as they were previously.

  • Hand-zone colored. This makes them blue / pink based off what hand should be used.

• On Piano, when you come across a section of a song that has hand crossover, white finger numbers will temporarily turn hand-zone colored so make it easier to tell which hand to use. If finger numbers are turned off, we will show dots above the crossover notes to help you see what hand to use.

Riff Repeater

• Riff Repeater will now let you speed up a song to 125% speed.

Song Details

• Hand-selection is now available in the Song Details screen for Piano arrangements (Left, Right, Both).

Major Bug Fixes

Connections

• Solved an issue regarding using the Rocksmith Tuner App and switching to Piano caused Note Detection to stop working properly.

• Fixed an issue where the Song Details page would not appear upon returning from an Instrument Not Detected screen back to the Home Tab if no instrument was connected.

• Solved an issue that caused Input Channels to not appear when using an interface during the Tutorial.

General

• Fixed an issue that could cause the game to freeze after completing the tuning screen when launching the game on Piano and the switching to Guitar

• Fixed an issue where losing internet connectivity on the Song Results screen could cause the game to freeze

• Fixed a softlock that would occur when returning to a queue under some conditions.

• Fixed a crash that would occur when duplicate logins were performed on the storefront screen.

Mobile

• Fixed an issue that caused piano single notes to not be detected even when played correctly.

• Fixed an issue where certain headstocks would display with a flicker when equipped in the Customize tab on mobile devices.

Noteway

• Fixed an issue where Fingerprints were hidden by the technique symbol in certain arrangements on the noteway.

Pause Options

• Fixed song controller so that it remains in place while in a Riff Repeater session.

Play Tab

• Fixed an issue where game could crash upon returning to the Play Tab after visiting an artist page

Search

• Fixed an issue where the list in the dropdown menu in search filters would not be scrollable.

Sheet Music

• Fixed an issue where an octave transposition pop-up was shown multiple times if you turned sheet music on and off multiple times

Tutorial

• Fixed an issue that caused the full tutorial to be shown to Piano users instead of the shorter returning tutorial when switching to Guitar or Bass.

Major Known Issues

Audio

• Sound is distorted when launching the game with Dolby Digital and DTS enabled, and Audio Exclusivity is turned on.

• When transitioning to the Song Results screen under certain conditions, you may hear some static.

General

• The "Late" indicator does not always appear in the noteway when hitting a note late.

•  The Difficulty Target percentage numbers in Song Details do not always match the location of the difficulty slider.

• A soft lock occurs when rearranging the monitors while using 4K resolution.

• Flickering can be spotted on sustain techniques during gameplay on some PC models.

• When returning to the main menu after playing a song, the song details may not be displayed if the song was reached through an artist's link.

• When Song Details are opened from Search Results, a preview of the song is not played.

Mobile

• On Piano, notes played in the wrong octave can be marked as correct.

• A soft lock, followed by a crash can occur when pausing and unpausing the tutorial, when connected with the RS+ Connect app.

• App may crash when used on a Google Pixel.

• Ubisoft Connect log-in screen is forced into horizontal / landscape view, causing the keyboard to overlap with most of the log-in screen.

• It takes more than 25 seconds to transition to the noteway on iPhone 7 Plus, and a black screen is displayed during the transition. 

• The app does not automatically connect to the Device Microphone if there are no other input devices connected.

• On the Search page, if you cancel the filter and display many songs, album art will not be displayed for some songs. 

• On the Play page, some song queues may fail to load in.

• A game freeze occurs if the iRig device is unplugged while mic Noise Reduction is being performed

Rocksmith Workshop

• Rocksmith Workshop takes around 10 seconds to boot.

Tuner App

• A crash occurs when the Tuner app is brought back in focus after the mobile device is locked.
