This Week in The Division 2 – November 6

TITLE UPDATE 12

State of the Game returned this week with exciting news and details about some of the quality of life improvements coming soon with Title Update 12 and Season 4, including some long-standing requests.

The Optimization Station – A major feature coming with Title Update 12 is the Optimization Station. This is an extension to the Recalibration Station that will allow you to spend unique materials to improve the attributes of your gear.

Individual attributes on High-End, Gear Set, and Exotic gear can be incrementally upgraded through 10 tiers representing 10% of an attribute’s total value, to eventually reach the maximum value of the attribute.

Each attribute on a piece of gear can be optimized separately, and every type of attribute is fair game. Gear Mods and Skills mods however cannot be optimized.

Optimizing an attribute will require 4 new materials that are used solely for optimization; Item-Type Deconstruction, Control Point/Landmark, Faction, and Project Materials. Each has their own specific source – but they can all be crafted as well using standard crafting bench materials.

Global Event Shop – Also introduced alongside Global Events after TU12 will be the Global Event Shop. This is a separate menu where you can spend stars earned from GE Challenges for additional rewards during Global Events.

Season Item Caches, Crafting Material Caches, and even Exotic Caches will be available from this shop. Season 4 will feature familiar Global Events as well as a completely new one, so be ready to cash in those stars!

Challenges in The Summit – With TU12, The Summit will have a new layer of longevity and reward. Tactical and Ascent Challenges will provide secondary objectives for your various excursions up the high-rise.

While only 1 Tactical Challenge and 1 Ascent Challenge can be active at a time, they are player-specific and will provide a personal focus for both an immediate and more long-term shake-up to the activity.

Rewards in The Summit – Tactical and Ascent challenges comes with their own line of rewards as well. Completing them will give Targeted Loot and Optimization Materials regularly, as well as more unique rewards at certain milestones.

These milestone rewards include Exotic Caches, Named Item Caches, Blueprints, and a new Exotic Assault Rifle at various intervals.

Additionally, completing a checkpoint in The Summit will now always give a guaranteed Targeted Loot drop directly to your agent.

Mask Appearance – TU12 brings masks to the faces of your agents. The gear mask you have equipped will be visible at any time, in or outside of the Dark Zone.

This can be toggled on or off at your discretion and will have no impact on general gameplay.

Inventory Management – TU12 also includes expanded inventory space, growing from 100 items to 150, and better functionality for filtering through your different gear mods.

Additional Improvements – The next title update also brings a new ‘pick up’ functionality for deployed Turret Skills, much like the Hive, and a small but significant buff to the Bighorn Exotic’s magazine size.

Next week’s State of the Game will shift focus to some of the new gear and items coming with TU12 and Season 4! Be sure to stop by to see what’s coming soon.

SEASON 3 EVENTS

Season 3 – Concealed Agenda for The Division 2: Warlords of New York continues with the Dusk League! Try your hand at the Air & Space Museum, American History Museum, and Jefferson Plaza on Hard time trials, and Space Administration HQ for a Challenging time trial.

In addition to burning True Sons and eliminating True Sons Elites, these challenges will earn you ranks towards tiers of rewards. These include the Dusk Patch, Wolf Charm backpack trophy, and an array of gear and material caches.

The challenges will reset on November 10, giving you another round to earn ranks and shore up those rewards – or beat your personal League record.

If you’re looking for a group to run the League, our Discord server has agents on all platforms worldwide ready to talk strategy or squad up.

PRIORITY ALERTS

A routine maintenance was performed on November 3 that addressed several issues, including a fix for Control Point supply rooms not opening after killing Rogue Agents, missing objectives and inoperable elevators in The Summit, Rate of Fire attribute errors in the Recalibration Station, and more.

The Last Resort Apparel Event is now over and various items from the event can be found for direct purchase from the in-game Premium Credit store.

We have a list of Known Issues that we are actively investigating. More information will be provided on these as solutions are found.

That’s it for this week!

Until next time,
