The Crew 2 Offline Mode
Offline mode is coming to The Crew 2! This update gives you the flexibility to choose how you play, while preserving access to core content and progression.
Choosing How You Play
When launching the game, you'll now be able to select Online Mode or Offline Mode directly from the menu when booting up the game.
In Offline Mode, your progression is saved locally. If you later want to update your offline save with your most recent online progression, you'll need to reconnect to Online Mode and generate a new save. Doing this will replace any progress made offline. To make the difference clear, a new icon now appears in the login menu and next to your Fame rank to show whether you're currently playing online or offline.
Updates to Online Mode
Alongside the introduction of Offline Mode, several quality-of-life updates have been made to Online Mode:
-
A new option has been added to the online login menu to create your save.
-
A dedicated Offline tab has been introduced in the HUB menu to explain how the hybrid system works and to help manage your save.
-
A new tile has been added to the end of the Settings tab that also allows you to create your save.
-
Rewards will no longer be granted when a crew member does not finish a Race Creator event.
These additions are designed to make switching between modes straightforward and transparent.
What's Not Available Offline
To make Offline Mode possible, some online-dependent features will not be accessible while offline. The core game experience, including exploration, events, vehicles, and customization remain available, but the following online systems are disabled:
-
Multiplayer Activities: such as Summits and Live Battle
-
Online Data: Such as Leaderboards, Ghosts, and World Records
-
User-Generated Content, Including custom races and liveries
-
The Far & Beyond Shop: Including vanities, bundles, spare parts, and Ubisoft Packs
-
Community Features: Such as photo sharing, highlights, and recommended shops
Menus and hub spaces have been streamlined accordingly, with offline-friendly versions of mission tickets, activities, and profile options.
A More Flexible Way to Play
This update marks a significant step in giving players greater control over how they experience The Crew 2. Whether you prefer to stay connected or take your adventures entirely solo, the new Offline Mode is here to support your playstyle.
More details will be shared alongside the update. Until then, stay tuned for more updates.
