"Mode Coop," Episode 9 — Imagining Worlds, from the Real to the Virtual

This is already the ninth episode of Mode Coop (and the final one of the season). To wrap things up in style, discover a unique conversation at the crossroads of video games, design, and architecture.

In this episode, designer, interior architect, and founder of Zyva Studio Anthony Authié sits down with Léa Antonios, Art Director at Ubisoft Paris, who works on the game Howrse. Together, they explore how worlds are created, how stories are told, and how a space—whether real or virtual—can evoke emotion.

From designing a place to building an imaginary world, their practices converge around a shared gesture: storytelling through space. As the conversation unfolds, we discover Léa and Anthony’s creative secrets, as well as their methods, instincts, and obsessions:

  • On one side, an architectural practice shaped by virtual tools, 3D, storytelling, and an almost cinematic approach to space.
  • On the other, art direction in video games and animation, where characters and environments come to life within a framework that is both creative and technical.

Their discussion leads them to common ground: exploring, bending constraints, and leaving room for childhood and imagination.

Because it is often by stepping outside expected frameworks that the most distinctive worlds emerge—the ones that leave a lasting impression.

A dialogue at the intersection of architecture and video games, revealing that building real spaces and designing virtual worlds often follow the same creative logic.
