For Honor Y9S3: Downfall - Warrior’s Den Recap

The Warriors Den has once again returned celebrating not only the launch of Y9S3: Downfall, but the 200^th Warrior's Den anniversary. This show was packed with awesome new gear from the Battlepass, as well as our new hero skin for the Nobushi: Lady Saori. We went over our new game mode: Bitter End which is a spin on the game mode Breach. We had brand new segments like Warrior's Den Trivia and Most Viral Moments with a special guest, Larry! In addition to all of this, we had a segment on the highly anticipated Cross Progression. We recommend checking out the VOD to see anything you may have missed.

Downfall

Its spooky season in For Honor! Generations ago, Castle Chiyo was left defenseless in the misty swamps of the Myre. After the castle's lord and his army were called away by the emperor, the rival daimyo Katsuo seized the opportunity to take it for himself. 

In the night, he and his Samurai attacked mercilessly. It was now up to the lord's wife, Lady Saori, to take up arms and lead the defense against their would-be invaders. But despite her bravery, she was outnumbered a hundredfold. She ended up all alone, surrounded---the last defender of a burning legacy. Ridden with guilt, smothered by failure.

In her moment of utmost despair, her sorrow turned to rage. It consumed her like a darkness. And something else was born...

Nightmare's Dawn & Bitter End

The new Free Event Pass, Nightmare's Dawn begins September 11^th and runs until October 2nd. This pass explores Katsuo's ambitions to take control of Castle Chiyo. This pass includes cosmetics like Horns of Katsuo battle outfit, Katsuo's Ambition effect, and Katsuo's Ram ornament. These items immerse players in the maritime tone of the season.

In addition to our Free Event Pass, we have added a game mode called Bitter End which is a fresh spin on our existing game mode "Breach". This game mode is time-limited and will be available to play from September 11^th-October 2^nd. The game mode is essentially a faster paced Breach. You start at the final phase where your objective is to either defend or eliminate the Lady Saori, our new hero skin!

Hero Skin, Battlepass, & Legacy Pass

Although she was trained as a Nobushi warrior, Lady Saori never found herself in many battles. As the Lady of Castle Chiyo, she often stayed behind when the time for war came, safe in the walls her family had built generations ago.

But one night, all that would come crashing down. After Saori's husband and his army are called away to the Imperial City, a rival daimyo sees an opportunity for growth---and power. He launches a full-scale attack on Castle Chiyo. Now, it's up to an outmatched Lady Saori to defend her home, her people, and her family's legacy.

Beauty is broken, and where there once was legacy, now only flaming ruins remain. Castle Chiyo was a pillar of Samurai history, and now that it's under attack, its impending downfall cracks the very bedrock of serenity. 

The Y9S3 Battlepass contains items like the battle outfit "Woeful Protector", the effect Woeful Awakening and of course a ton of awesome new looking weapons.

This season's Legacy Pass is from Y5S3: Tempest and brings back a ton of awesome content. If you were not around in Y5S3, now is your chance to check out what you missed.

Inspired from Norse mythology, the cosmetics in Y5S3 centered around Ran and Aegir, two deities from Norse mythology who were the embodiment of the seas.

The Legacy Pass includes items like the battle outfit: Tempest Repose and the effect: Tempest Aegir. Let us know your thoughts on this blast from the past!

Cross Progression

The wait is over! Cross Progression will be coming to For Honor on September 11^th and will give players the option to have one unique account across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC allowing you to grind on one platform and pick back up on another. We highly recommend that you check out the Cross Progression FAQ as there is important information you won't want to miss.

Virtual Currency Update

Starting September 11th, the amount of free Steel in Virtual Currency Packs you can buy in the store will be slightly decreased

• The price of each pack remains the same, but the amount of steel given for each is slightly decreased.
• For 5€ you get a 5 000 Steel Pack
• For 10€ you get a 10 500 Steel Pack (Including 500 free steel)
• For 20€ you get a 22 000 Steel Pack (Including 2 000 free steel)
• For 50€ you get a 60 000 Steel Pack (Including 10 000 free steel)
• For 100€ you get a 130 000 Steel Pack (Including 30 000 free steel)

Testing Grounds

This season's Testing Grounds segment focuses on 4 heroes. Centurion, Peacekeeper, Shinobi, and Berserker.
