A BRAND NEW GAME MODE: DUAL FRONT
A unique, permanent 6v6 game mode set on our biggest map yet with all-new gameplay elements, such as in-match events and respawns. Combine attackers and defenders and their abilities in ways never before seen, as you and your team attempt to secure the enemy sectors whilst defending your own.
ENHANCED TACTICAL GAMEPLAY
Siege X introduces deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel and new ways to play. The addition of new destructible elements, such as fire extinguishers, metal detectors and gas pipes, opens endless possibilities and provides unique tools to strategize with.
VISUAL OVERHAUL
A major visual overhaul comes with Siege X. Five maps will be fully modernized at launch, with each season bringing three additional map updates.
Dual Front is our new 6v6 game mode. It comes on top of all our other existing game modes: Ranked, Quick Play, Unranked (which now replaces Standard), Siege Cup tournaments and our time-limited events.
Dual Front is only available on PC and current generation consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X|S)
For new players joining from June 10, 2025, R6 Siege will offer free access to Quick Play, Unranked and Dual Front game modes, as well as to a selection of operators.
Certain features like Ranked mode, Siege Cup, additional operators, and cosmetics, require payment to unlock. All existing players will retain all previously unlocked content and receive Veteran rewards.
From the launch of R6 Siege X on June 10, new players will have access to Quick Play, Unranked and Dual Front game modes for free but need to buy a paid edition to play Ranked mode and participate in Siege Cup tournaments.
Players who have bought and played the game before the launch of R6 Siege X on June 10 will keep their access to all existing game modes without additional payment required.
To facilitate your R6 Siege onboarding, you start unlocking game modes upon reaching certain Clearance Levels.

Access to competitive game modes (Ranked and Siege Cup tournaments) requires ownership of a Premium edition of Rainbow Six Siege X, reaching Clearance Level 50 and enabling 2-step verification with a valid phone number.
From the launch of R6 Siege X on June 10, Free Access players will be able to play with a selection of Operators.
On top of this selection, Elite Edition players will instantly unlock 16 additional Operators.
Ultimate Edition players will unstantly unlock 52 additional Operators.
Yes, players who have bought and played the game before the launch of R6 Siege X on June 10 will keep their operators, inventory and progression. They will also receive Veteran Rewards on top!
From the launch of R6 Siege X on June 10, new players will simply need to download the Free Access edition from Ubisoft Connect or other platforms' online stores.
Players in Free Access can upgrade to a premium edition directly from the in-game shop, Ubisoft Connect or from other platforms' online stores.
Players will receive cumulative rewards according to the R6 Siege year in which they first played the game from Y1 to Y10S1, in addition to a badge representing the calendar year in which they first played the game from Y1 to Y9.
Players simply need to launch the game starting June 10. Veteran Rewards and badges will automatically be added to their inventory.
There is no change to our Battle Pass.
