TIPS & TUTORIALS: HOW TO GET STARTED IN THE DIVISION 2

Tom Clancy's The Division is a third-person shooter offering tactical confrontations where your choice of position and cover is of key importance. Depending on your equipment, you can adopt your own combat style.

You can create your Agent from A to Z, personalise his/her weapons and gadgets and develop their skills depending on the experience you've earned during the game.

Your progression is based on gaining experience but also on loot: weapon and equipment of varying value that you can find on the bodies of fallen enemies or in hidden spots of Washington D.C. Loot makes you stronger.

You are free to choose the order in which you approach the missions in the open world. Feel free to explore. The Division takes places in a rich open world filled with city inhabitants and animals with unpredictable behaviour, so look out!

All of Tom Clancy's The Division can be played alone or in co-op with a team of 2-4 players. The game difficulty automatically adapts to the number of Agents on the team.

Once you feel ready, you can enter the Dark Zones. These unique areas are where the multiplayer mode comes into its own: the Agents are free to cooperate, or betray each other. You can find incredibly powerful loot in the Dark Zones. Be brave.

Here are a few suggestions for you first steps in D.C.:

  • Skill up and go discover the Theatre settlement, as indicated on your map.
  • After completing the Grand Washington Hotel mission, check out control points for good loot drops.
  • Focus on Projects to help the settlements; they are a good introduction to world activities.
  • Go to the Library side mission to retrieve the Declaration of Independence and honour Nicolas Cage.
