2023 Summer 2 Release Notes

Feature improvements / New features

General

Noteway can be paused and resumed by tapping or clicking the screen.
The RS Tab icon is updated.
Reward track has been sunset and removed from customization landing screen.

Song Details

Artist name is interactable in Song Details; it's linked to the full list of the artist's songs in Rocksmith+.
Sub arrangements of Chord Charts can now be changed in the Song Details menu.

Lesson

Lesson speed popup has been removed and an overlay text tells player they can adjust speed on the pause menu.

Options

The customer support page is updated on FMG (Android and iOS), where in-app help articles and chatbot are available.

Major Bug Fixes

General

Fixed an issue where the game may soft lock when changing resolutions or refresh rates.
In My Guitar Skill Profile, all chords and items are displayed correctly.

Tutorial

Fixed the tutorial content to be consistent whether player selects guitar or bass.

Noteway

The Riff Repeater tab now displays when the Difficulty Target is set to 100%.

Song Details

The Difficulty Target can now be changed for all arrangements.
Fixed a problem with Song Details displaying incorrectly after the song is launched from an expanded queue.
Fixed the button prompt for "Link to artist page" displayed in Song Details or Controls Guide.

Rocksmith Workshop

Fixed issue where dropdown menus were not properly cleared from the screen in some cases.
Fixed issue where tempo markers were not placed in the correct position under certain conditions.
Fixed crash that could be triggered by dragging tempo events to the edge of the grid.
Fixed issue that occurred when attempting to convert a fingerprint zone containing a chord into an arpeggio zone.
The list box is now cleared correctly, when a chord name or phrase name is selected for a given action.
The RS Tab will appear correctly after pressing the RS Tab button during a playtest.

Rocksmith+ Mobile and Rocksmith+ Connect

Fixed an issue where certain buttons did not respond when tapped on Rocksmith+ Mobile.
Fixed an issue where the iOS password manager did not populate a saved password when logging in to Ubisoft Connect.
Fixed an issue where soft lock occurs when tapping the screen many times in a quick fashion.

Major Known Issues

General

A soft lock may occur when rearranging the monitors while playing in 4K resolution.
After submitting a new arrangement, you may need to restart your game to see it show up in the music library.
Difficulty Target percentage numbers sometimes do not match the location on the slider.
The E Major Pentatonic Scale Shape Bass lesson video ends abruptly.
The Health Warning Message needs to be updated.

Tutorial

Idling on the genre selection screen for a long time can cause the game to crash.

Audio

The audio can be distorted if audio output is set to Dolby Digital or DTS when Audio Exclusivity is turned on.
Using the real tone cable with an external audio mixer can cause problems in RS+ Workshop with Audio Exclusivity is turned on.
On the "Getting Connected" screen during the first-time tutorial, the audio connection settings may not display correctly.

Learn

Changing between Window mode and Fullscreen can cause some options to be cut off in the Learn menu.

Noteway

The "Late" indicator does not always appear in the noteway, when a note is played late.
In some cases, soundscapes may get cut off as they get too close to the noteway.
The camera position changes may make some sections harder to read.

Search

Search results filter display may revert to "Song Name A-Z" after finishing a song.

Settings

When changing from Guitar to Bass then back to Guitar, an incorrect tone is applied.

Rocksmith+ Workshop

Rocksmith Workshop takes longer than 10 seconds to launch.
When dragging a tempo marker, the playhead might move at the same time.
Midi playback may not be pitched correctly.
When an arrangement playtest ends, the game will redirect to the hub screen instead of back to RS+ Workshop.

Rocksmith+ Mobile and Rocksmith Connect+

The "Allow Notifications" pop-up appears at the end of the first-time tutorial and disrupts the music.
A crash occurs when Rocksmith+ Connect is brought back into focus, after the device was locked.
In Rocksmith+ Connect, the "Learn More" button will redirect to the Ubisoft store page, instead of providing options inside the app.
