Global Program Prize Pool Update!

May 9, 2019

At the Six Invitational 2019, we were proud to announce that the prize pool for the event had grown substantially from 2018, reaching the maximum set amount of $2,000,000. We achieved this amount from our base contribution of $500,000, 9% of the net revenue from Pro League items, and 30% of the net revenue from the Road to the Six Invitational.

We can also confirm that any additional prize funding will now be distributed across our other official esports programs. Today, we are excited to announce that the surplus amount reached is $1,069,000!

We plan on using the additional proceeds to continue our efforts to help Rainbow Six Siege grow as an esport. Below, you can see how we will be redistributing the additional funds into our 2019 R6 esports prize pools, with the final prize pool per event category:

  • Challenger League: $73,500 per season
  • Pro League: $626,000 per season (playoffs included)
  • Minors: $75,000 per event
  • Major: $500,000 total

Our scene has come such a long way over the past few years, and we are thankful to each and every one of our fans who have helped make this achievement possible.

As we reach this new milestone, we are committed to grow, support and develop our global esports program in 2020 and beyond.
