Guys, is this a joke?
You set up a patch specifying that it also fixes Defensive Measures' bugs, the I go back to Asgard just to find that yes, I'm automatically back inside the green dome, sure, but the mission is still stuck, there is no builder whatsoever and the jotuns go back and forth like dummies. No improvement. No fix.
Seriously?
I'm sorry, but this is gettin embarrassing. There is a whole sub-universe with its own plot within the game and we cannot play it.
C'mon
@Ubi-Baron @Ubi-Karl @Ubi-Alien @Ubi-Frog @Ubi-Keo @Ubi-Iner @Ubi-Ginge @UbiExcellent @ubi-woofer
What the hell?!?
Two major updates/fixes/patches. *TWO*, for like 10 gb of stuff, and nobody gives a damn about TWO STORYLINES (Asgard and Jotunheim) that we cannot play.
"Added textures"? Are you joking?
We're not talking about a stupid second-tier side-quest, for crying out loud, these are TWO STORYLINES.
Why is it so hard to simply add a reset-Asgard option? Don't even fix it, please... At this point, AT THE VERY LEAST, you should add a damn button allowing us to restart Asgard. I'm even willing to collect again all those [censored] 29 crystals from scratch... This time, by knowing this [censored] in advance, we could cherish the damn gamesave before we even try TALKING to this moron of a builder. Just DO SOMETHING or at least let us know you're trying.
This is really embarrassing, guys. It's a disgrace.
Not even a simple "we're looking into it".
I'm thinking about throwing this game out the window and not buying the season's pass, and I LOVE Assassin's Creed. Always have, always will. But this is frankly ridiculous.
Over.
P.S. Oh, one more thing: after this AMAZING FIX you just provided, I have been downgraded from 15 predator arrows to FIVE. Why? Who knows. But thanks for the great effort. I feel much better.
Let's see if the next update FIXES my battle axe into a teapot.
"We deployed 4 server-side hotfixes to address issues preventing players from proceeding with Old Wounds, Unholy Father, The Thegn of Lincoln, and Falling Stars."
Sorry, is this a joke?
@Ubi-Borealis how is this possible? Can we at least know if our only chance is to wait for the game to go full circle with the DLC in the hope of not getting stuck when we re-play the game from the beginning? It's been six months. SIX. If there's no ETA yet, could we AT LEAST know ---> *WHY* <--- a game-stopping bug is not being addressed while even secondary missions are??
I mean, an official response from the tech guys sayin' "Hey, sorry, it's just a damn mess. We gave up. When we're done with the DLC, just start over and remember to save the game before this moron asks you to bring him the jars. See ya".
That would be REALLY useful, at least I'd stop coming to this forum to post these frustrating messages.
Do you get that is not just an inconvenience? It's PART OF THE DAMN PLOT, it BLOCKS trophies, it SCREWS the ending.
I have no words (well, except I have them, obviously)
@ubi-borealis
Although it took you *a lot* of time to answer, thank you so much for at least providing a feedback. Better late than never. At least now we are sure you're trying. I am now at level 480ish, so I imagine it won't be very challenging to wipe out a level 90 and a level 150 territories, but this are two entire story arcs and we'd really like to at least enjoy the story. I really hope you can fix it before the first season pass.
(Well, I must say that now it's also getting *insulting*. They are deploying a hotfix every other day for minor issues while a real game stopping bug lies there unaddressed.
I'm kinda speechless.)
I came by just to CERTIFY ('cause honestly, at this point it was a tad redundant) that nothing good for us was coming from this update either.
Glad to see I was right.
Just a re-post of the same answer they gave us like two months ago.
"Yeah, we're looking into it. Actually, we're staring blankly at it."
Meanwhile, I discovered the reason that I didn't get bits and pieces of the game's ending: because a vital piece for understanding it is found in Jotunheim. So now I got a spoiler too.
Thanks guys.
Great effort with this game.
Almost SIX months like this.
But I am really happy that
That's amazing! Now I DO NOT WANT my money back
My most sincere congratulations.
Meanwhile, the nth bug-fixing update is out tomorrow.
It fixes the notoriously game breaking issues of the Ostara festival, and - so it says - it makes the Ostara missions RE-PLAYABLE
SO IT *CAN* BE DONE!
WHAT A MIRACLE! Who'd have thought! The marvels of technology, huh?
Well, then again, who cares, it's not like we're stuck with a major issue since november. Keep on fixing the shoelaces of a hanging corpse, buddies. It's not like it's already dead.
@ubi-borealis I get it, do not shoot the messenger, and as a matter of fact I'm not doing that, you're just the only guy that I can @. I'd rather bust their chops about this, because it's really astonishing to let such an outstanding bug slide. And not just letting it slide: refusing (or avoiding) to publicly address the issue to those who are affected. It's like selling a car without windows. Were I a real internet nut and not an average guy from Italy who plays your games for fun, this would certainly be lawsuit material. We'd like one of them to say something about this.
@ubikoreanbbq
I have the same issue (PS4)
I've completed every story arc, raided everything, upgraded everything: the upgrade progress bar stays at 99% of level 5 and it doesn't reach level 6. This is bull, I've never been this [censored] at AC game before. If you add the defensive measures bug (I can't complete Asgard therefore I can't play Jotunheim), well, I think I've said enough.
Please do something.
Who gives a mighty f+++ about the damn Yule festival if you can't even finish the damn game.
@ubi-woofer Same as @FeintX here.
I could have posted the same exact video.
There is no builder to be found anywhere and in the Asgard map I do not have any mission icon of any kind since I've done everything else I could, Asgard is now completely stuck and useless. That's pretty annoying, since it's a level 90 scenario and I was forced to go on and I am currently like 240+.
Also, I don't have any previous savegames either. I hope this will be fixed without making us go through those 29 crystals again, I might die of frustration.
@bielik01 I am sadly aware of that. I waited almost SIX months to complete the Asgard/Jotunheim story arc due to the infamous Builder Glitch.
@bielik01
That could be a nice and easy explanation. That's why I had already thought about that before asking for advice. I already traced my steps back in both locations, already examined all the former-skull platforms. No rune anywhere.
By the way, let's say I didn't crush the skulls in the correct order: in that case, the blight should not have lifted. At the very least, once you teleport away and back the quest should be still in place or starting over.
I don't think it can be logically possibile (for a software) to both lift the curse *and* not lift the curse at the same time.
As you probably noticed, when you crush the "last" skull for each Jotun Blight, the rune materializes right were you crushed it. In these cases this just did not happen.
I'm telling you, I already stumbled in a lot of bugs within this game, and this has all the looks of one of them.
@bielik01 Yes I did. By the way, if you don't crash all the skull the curse can't be lifted. As long as the curse is active, you can see those black smoke-like speckles on-screen, signalling that the blight is still on. As you can see in the picture, the screen is crystal clear, the "speckles of evil" vanished. I crushed four skulls (even if it's actually the same skull teleporting, as I gathered) until the blight was lifted, but in either of these two cases the rune did not appear.
I've done the same things in all five locations, by the way, and these two are the only one where the rune did not manifest itself.
I stumbled into a glitch with two of the Jotun Blights. Specifically, the one in Svaladal, northwest of the Gnafandi fortress and the one in Gullnamar, southwest of Gomul-Bru.
In both cases I killed the blight by destroying all the skulls, the curse is lifted but the rune didn't appear and the quest remains unsolved.
Here are the pictures.
Is there anything we can do about this?
I am playing on Ps4.
Thanks.
@standoffjosh It does work! Finally! I am still baffled by the time it took them to fix it, but at least it's done. This is a big relief. My soul is at peace
(Let's hope is the last one of this magnitude)
@standoffjosh We'll see. In Italy we say "Se non vedo non credo" (If I don't see it, I don't believe it). Our defensive measures bugs were slightly different (somebody had the builder not responding to stimuli, others - like me - had no builder at all 'cause he had disappeared completely). After all the disappointment that piled up during these months, I'm now merely crossing my fingers.
@juliomacedo37 Por favor, pare de postar a mesma coisa cem vezes. Os moderadores do fórum já escreveram que ainda não sabem quando o problema será corrigido. Está escrito abaixo em inglês
@itissavage Don't hold your breath, dude. Mi take is this: they know it's a HUGE freaking problem for those who have it, but not enough people have it for them to care. Maybe a few hundred? A couple thousands? Who knows. But the reality is that this is obviously not a priority, the vast majority of players were able to play those scenarios so the guys upstairs don't give a single juicy [censored]. It's been like this for SEVEN MONTHS (a lifetime in game-development scale), so I already gave up. My advice? After the DLCs, when we'll be given the possibility to restart the game with the upgraded stats (since they made it so both in Origins and in Odissey, I assume it will happen with Valhalla too), be very careful to save your game WAY before starting that mission, so that you can give it more than one try.
In the meantime, you better unpack Origins or Odissey and play a decent game, 'cause this one is not going anywhere.
