Hi,
My game just updated and I launched it curious as to what the update is. Unfortunately, the game is no longer playable for me.
When I launch the game I get a pop-up I am not able to skip and it is forever loading asking me to buy the full game even though I already own it. What is even more strange is if I try to buy the game even though I already own it (I am just trying to get rid of the pop-up at this point), it is asking me to buy AC Valhalla on Epic Game Store, a game I also own (on the Epic Game Store as well). There is no way I can escape this endless loop.
I have tried 4 times now to get around this but nothing is working and I eventually have to task manager to close the game down.
I have recorded a video of the endless loop.: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Lvq9tMouaeyBJwVaZviKGEhweE0gXEdS/view?usp=sharing)
Hi,
I updated my game today and played the DLC. The DLC is great, works well, no problems there. I went back to the main campaign and realized I am no longer able to fast travel or airdrop around the map without the game crashing. I've tried this about 6 times now and the game crashes every time during the loading screen. I've tried different points around the map from captured FND bases, traffic stops, and main settlements. It will always crash during the loading screen. Before you ask, the first thing I did was verify my files and it is still happening. This only started happening after today's update.
@firestormx75 If FC6 was on Steam and this was happening, it would have been review bombed to hell, all media outlets and YouTubers would be reporting on it (like they do with all broken AAA releases) and I am sure it would have been fixed by now. 18 days and still no fix is shocking.
Hi,
I have everything on the skill tree unlocked apart from one skill (see screenshot). I should be able to gain 1 more skill point when I level up so I can get that last skill, but when I do level up I am only able to get mastery points. I've tried to refund a few skills and buy other skills, then level up, but I always end up in the same situation where I have 1 skill left locked and I never gain a skill point to unlock the skill tree 100%, it always goes to mastery points. I've verified my files, the problem persists.
@angry_bavarian It is happening to me. Verifying files hasn't fixed it.
@pompeius63 I am hoping when this eventually gets fixed, they load the blackmarket with all the stuff we have missed and compensate us with a ton of moneda so we can buy it all.
@mentraton The issue everyone has is Ubisoft has never rewarded the shields, they only rewarded the other parts 3 months ago. Even back then everyone was asking why the shields were not included. It is obviously an oversight on Ubisoft's part, we shouldn't be expected to pay Ubisoft points for the content they should have given us in September.
My interest in this game has dropped massively since I got all operators to level 10, done the current event as well which was fun. I like MrBomber's idea of increasing the level to 100 and having milestone rewards but prestige in that instance would not be needed.
I think Extraction is one of the best co-op games I've played but like other co-op games, the replay value is limited. Nothing wrong with that because these games are not designed to be played forever.
I should update my initial response to this thread because I managed to resolve my issue and fix my save files. What happened was I had a crash and verified the files on Epic, but what this actually did was revert my game to the launch version, so when I loaded up my game again the save files were marked as corrupt. I fixed it by verifying my files on Ubisoft Connect, which downloaded the update and my saves were fine.
Ubisoft needs to remove the verify files function on the Epic store because this isn't an option on Odyssey and Origins. I submitted a ticket about it but in the meantime don't verify your files on Epic!
As with everything in Valhalla, "Odyssey did it better". The problem with Valhalla seems to be how the devs have completely ignored all the progress Odyssey made for the franchise and only looked at how they could improve on Origins. Hopefully, these repeatable raids are good but the game really needs way more added to it for the end game, similar to how alive the world feels in Odyssey where you have loads to do.
@xLysdexicx This issue is the worst case of "passing the buck" I've seen in any business, no one seems to want to take full ownership of the issue and resolve it.
I recently downloaded Rainbow Six Extraction again from Epic and it didn't need to download twice, but Far Cry 6 and this do download twice (and just to be clear, directing Ubisoft Connect to the Epic install does not work). I wonder what Rainbow Six Extraction is doing right that these games are not, and these are just two recent examples it happens in ghost recon too. Surely this is enough for someone at Ubisoft to finally fix the issue?
This issue is the very definition of passing the buck. No one at Ubisoft wants to take ownership of it, no one wants to take responsibility.
@Killorio I thought we were going to space, given the last update in the progress timeline is a spaceship. Maybe they are waiting for the Steam release to add new content?
@Ubi-Milky The troubleshooting solution doesn't work for all games, this is part of our frustration with this solution. I get as far as trying to direct Ubisoft Connect to where the EGS install is and it fails to validate the files and recommends a full install, because it is looking for an up-to-date version of the game and EGS doesnt have that, it still has the launch version. Ubisoft never updates EGS with up-to-date versions of their games.
The After Effect event is too hard compared to the other crisis events. I have been playing it for a week with randoms and we are barely getting to the 3rd act. I've watched organized groups on stream who have just about completed it with hardly any health left after many failed runs and only successful when they have a gridlock and jager in the team.
I get the devs want to introduce a challenge but when that challenge is too much even for many organized friend groups, I start to question where the fun is.
@Ubi-Keo I've already uninstalled the game, it is time for me to call it quits for Valhalla and Ubisoft in general. The constant buggy updates for Valhalla and Ubisofts refusal to fix the Epic double install bug that exists on most Ubisoft games through Epic is all I can take from this god-awful company. Not your fault Keo, all you tech support people have been great, Ubisoft has let too many things slide on quality for me to continue giving them my time and money.
The devs said a while ago New Game+ has to be the very last thing they add to the game.
Verica's tomb is the first one I have attempted in the new update. I have completed all the puzzles and the gate doesn't open at the end.
I watched JorRaptors stream to check I had done everything right and he got a cutscene when he placed the final orb/key whatever you wanna call them, this cut scene didn't happen for me, so this seems to be the issue. The gate opens in a cut scene and if this scene does not trigger the gate will remain closed.
I don't have an earlier save to try it again so I can't record a video demonstrating the error. I am also not able to pick the orb/keys back up and try again. I've left the tomb and gone back to it, everything is still completed but the gate remains shut.
Does this mean the new content is effectively broken? Even if Ubisoft fixes the missing cutscene bug, I am already passed the point where a cut scene should have triggered and opened the gate, so what now? Do I have to wait 3 months for another patch to access this content?
This has disaster written all over it, now it is delayed for the 5th time, how much more of a warning do some people need? Ubisoft is not interested in what players want, if they were we would be getting ship-to-ship boarding, land exploration and sword fights. They have taken the mobile version of black flag and made it a PC game, that is all you will be getting here.
Ubisoft has washed its hands of this problem because they have a troubleshooting page on it that doesn't fix the problem. The issue needs to be escalated up the ladder and finally fixed because Ubisoft is hoping to release even more titles through Epic and after a few months of updates the same thing will happen to them. I want to move my AC Valhalla install to another drive, but I dare not even attempt it because I know this issue will happen.
