@kmansp31 About Azar I keep wondering if a male soldier maybe even the lead character will ask him on a date. During cutscenes when Azar is talking it sounds a bit like a woman.
I talk to Sigurd at the start of A Cruel Destiny at the top of the tower but no quests are given to track. The cutscene with Sigurd won't finish, it just loops back to the beginning where you chose to talk to him. If anyone has this issue or can help. I'm using a pc with Windows 10 Home.
Sorry if my logic is twisted up in the following. We know the problem is probably with Ubi and not a problem with our video cards. So why are some people saying a 24gb video card should not have the texture bug? So what I'm saying is there should be some 3090 and Titan Rtx owners reporting the texture bug. It could be there aren't that many who have those cards in the thread, not sure.
On my Titan Rtx, with a i7 7700, the HD textures in 4K sometimes take 20 seconds or half a minute to load if I sprint or drive fast. When walking they all seem to load in a normal amount of time. So it's probably my having a i7 7700. And it's not nearly as serious as the bug imo because the bug is the failure of many textures to even load at all. edit - and everything is ultra with ray tracing on.
At least it appears to save after a mission is competed. Or a checkpoint or military installation is captured. But I still get what you're saying, it's annoying when in a mission.
The HD textures are now better almost everywhere it seems including water surfaces, vegetation and others. I didn't take the patch notes seriously when it said HD textures have a fix for blurry textures. I'm on a Titan Rtx. If anyone can verity HD looks noticeably more detailed now on a 3090 or Titan Rtx. So I'll know it's not just in my head.
Edit - I think what I'm trying to say here is in the process of fixing the really bad blurry HD textures they have improved the detail of most HD textures. But again I'll get nowhere with this claim unless 3090/Titan users notice the difference too.
Notes say it made some HD textures less blurry. So I'll just run around and try to find out where the sharper ones are. I have a Titan Rtx so I should be able to see them if they're even noticeable. If anyone on a 3090 can comment about any HD looking more detailed. I'm still DLing it.

@xleen4x Sometimes the HD 4k textures take longer to load on my Titan Rtx but it's not permanent for each session of gameplay. If I wait a minute or two the textures load. Yes it's a problem but not as bad as having it be blurry the whole time.
It can get blurry if I sprint or drive fast as if the system can't render fast enough to keep up with my character's movement across the terrain. But if I slow down to walking speed and wait the minute or two the HD textures load. When they load it's quite a sight to behold with the detail and lighting.
I wonder if it's a permanent blurriness for the 3090 or it they eventually load after a couple minutes or so.
For anyone with blurry textures: are they blurry when the game loads or only after moving fast like sprinting or driving fast?
Just wanted to check if it's the case for players with textures not loading properly. Was curious to know whether or not textures look fine when the game save loads.
For me the textures are fine when the Continue save loads, but after I sprint or drive fast for a long way sometimes the textures get blurry. I can fix it each time by backtracking at walking speed toward where I started which is a hassle to do. But after a little while all the textures in the area have loaded correctly and it looks nice and detailed. I'm assuming when traveling fast the game can't keep up and can't load textures fast enough for the character's fast pace of moving.
If any of what I've said has nothing to do with the blurry textures problem then please post so. I can take it, I'm just trying to understand more about the textures not loading completely problem.
@akira1364 I overreached on my 24gb vram comments. So looks like the bug is for playing under 4k. Meaning the HD pack should work fine according to Ubisoft when playing at 1440 res on a 3080 ti. But it doesn't from all the comments about lower res textures. So looks like it's a Ubisoft problem.
I know that's nothing new, ppl have been posting it for pages, & that Ubi should've been clearer in their explanation of HD pack requirements in regards to 2k and 4k resolutions. And sry for repeating what posters have already said. I'm just trying to get it right for my own understanding. If I'm incorrect about anything concerning the bug please post to correct it.
Is there anyone with a 3090 or 3080 that has overall great textures with the HD pack? With everything else cranked up max like ray tracing on, and everything Ultra. And with only an occasional blurry texture not the many that's in the bug.
guydodge a few posts up says his 3090 is showing very good visuals overall and he was implying there are far fewer blurry things than reported in the bug. I tend to agree with him because I'm running a Titan Rtx 24 gb with everything maxed and the IQ is wonderful overall despite the occasional blurry textured object. And far to mid distances look great too overall. Not saying my fps is good, it's on the low side maybe because I'm on a i7 7700. Btw ram is 32gb ddr 4.
@regzieeex Just a few fans sites or third party sites saying the pc patch release time or date/time is yet to be determined or officially announced.
@akira1364 Ray tracing is on to get every little gain I can in graphics.
Not sure yet from the posts but does a 24gb video card (3090 or Titan Rtx) display more HD textures in the game than a 3080 video card?
The answer won't help my low fps just 20-25 in most places with HD texture pack and all settings on Ultra. I'm only on a i7-7700 but my Titan Rtx is 24 gb. My ram 32 gb ddr4. But I'm curious to know if the 3090 or my card has any advantage as far as loading more HD textures than cards with 16gb or less.
