. I've started noticing that various parts of the scenery are dissapearing and becoming invisible. The most notable are the foliage of bushes and shrubs disappearing as I move through them, as well as hanging ropes completely becoming invisible (so when I'm traversing buildings using parkour I suddenly land on something invisible in mid-air). These are the only things I've noticed so far, as I stopped playing due to waiting for the latest 1.1.0 patch to be installed. However after the patch was installed yesterday, the problem still persists. I can still seemingly progress in the game, however it severely reduces the immersion and also makes stealth combat much more difficult and not very enjoyable. I've tried various things like reloading saves prior to that specific mission, fast travelling to different places and uninstalling and reinstalling the game, all to no avail. Unfortunately this is spoiling what has been a very enjoyable game to date and with around 40+ hours already invested, I definitely do not want to be replaying a majority of the game to fix this issue. I'm disappointed that the latest patch has not addressed this issue and I hope for a swift fix, as I will not be playing the game again until it has been fixed.
Hi there,
I’ve now had this bug occur in two separate instances. The first was in Lunden after completing the last quest in the arc for that area. The only way I could get rid of it was to find a save where the bug didn’t occur prior to that point. Unfortunately, (but also perhaps luckily, considering the alternative) I managed to find a save that was a couple of hours earlier, which meant replaying a couple of missions including the final one for the Lunden arc. Once I had completed that mission after doing the above, I seemingly had no more issues with disappearing foliage/hanging ropes/tent canvases etc. ...
That was until now. This time after reaching what I believe is the final mission of the Essex arc, after I fast travelled back to Colchester (or however it’s pronounced in-game). This has now re-occurred after around 30 more hours of play since the first instance! For me this is beyond a joke now, as I have been waiting since before the 1.1.0 patch for a fix for this game-breaking bug and have only been able to continue initially due to sheer determination in finding a way of getting rid of it myself (due to receiving no responses on my posts on a different thread!). I have now seen enough of similar threads and posts on this site relating to this bug, to fully expect a fix for this to arrive in the near future. If not, then I strongly feel that this shows very poor customer service and will heavily play in my future choices on whether I buy any more Ubisoft games for their full price on release.
To answer your questions:
1)I am playing on a PS4 Pro
2) no I will not provide a video as you will see plenty in this thread alone!
3) As I have specified above, this has occurred initially in only 2 instances, however once you have the bug it is everywhere and constant.
Thanks for your help and it would be nice to receive some feedback if possible regarding this issue.
Although saying that, I highly doubt you will do, as no one on this site has seemingly provided anywhere near enough information on whether anything is being done to help with this serious problem!
To anyone with this bug (considering no fix has been issued as of yet) the only way I can get this to disappear is to download a previous save from my PS Plus save library. You can do this on the PS4 by pressing start when you are on the game start icon on the PS4 home menu and then going to ‘upload/download save data’. Then download the saves you wish to try and then open them up in-game. If you find one that is fairly recent which is bug-free then save it again and re-upload it to the PS Plus library via the same method. I am having to upload my saves regularly in the hope that I can avoid this happening again in the future. Hope this of any help to you.
@ubit00n any update on this at all? As it is still happening to a lot of players (Re: Dissapearing interactive scenery), even after the 1.1.0 patch, making the game unplayable in a lot of people's eyes. Very disappointing considering it's a decent game and a lot of players are missing playing the game at this time of year! Thanks for any response in advance.
