After testing the new close camera mode I've found it to be a step in the right direction, however during combat the camera is still too far away. This is a problem in 2 ways:
Please give us an adjustable camera distance and allow us to choose whether we want the drone camera during combat toggled. Player agency is important in all games, but especially role-playing games. I know it is more work and ubi already has our money so I guess they can do whatever they want, but please pretend you're all working on it just to turn around in 12 months time and just say flat out "It's working as intended" like what's happened recently with the hooded walk speed bug (which still hasn't actually been fixed btw). Claiming a bug is a feature is lazy, and ultimately tarnishes the experience of your users and will reduce sales/player retention in the long run.
So yes - more camera options please and thanks keep up the mostly great work

Glad to hear you guys have found a solution and we appreciate your efforts in getting this put into a hotfix (and your well-timed communication on the matter), but please don't treat us paying customers like we're abusing you by expressing our frustration.
Thanks for the update and I apologise for offending you in any way, I'm just glad we got a response on this.
Load an earlier save, ignore her quest go talk to Randvi and the young lad in the longhouse first as it triggers a main story quest which you will need to complete first. Once that's done you can go talk to Valka and the quest works fine. The issue is that Valka is waiting for Randvi to come out and greet her at that particular spot outside the longhouse, except Randvi is waiting for you to come talk to her to trigger the main story plot.
Happened to me as well, this method fixed it.
@bojanzdjelar [censored] it, uninstalling - games just taking up space at this point anyway. Jesus. simple issue, ubi have made it pretty clear they don't give a [censored] about pc players, but i guess the joke's on me since they already got my money. This is the last time though.
@eternal_vikingr What would be ideal in my opinion is to have some sliders to adjust camera distance in various game states i.e. in combat vs. out of combat - this way everybody can play how they want to regardless of monitor size. Personally I'd set it to something similar to Origins and the earlier games as I think they nailed it back then - if it ain't broke...
Wow this still hasn't been fixed. Guess I'll go play some more Unity.
I have walking speed set to 10 in the options menu and the speed is perfect IMO, however whenever I pull the hood up the walking speed drops to what I assume is the lowest speed setting. I have a gamepad (but prefer to play AC games exclusively on M/KB) and have tested with both. Hooded walk speed with the gamepad is noticeably faster than M/KB.
I don't know if this is intentional (I assume it isn't) but it kills social stealth and roleplay for me.
2 ways this could be fixed:
Easy way - allow the "walking speed" setting in the Options menu to affect both hooded and non-hooded walk speeds.
Harder (but way better) way - currently when you have sneak (c) toggled you can choose from 3 different speeds: walk, run and sprint. It would be awesome to have the same apply to walking, for example: CTRL to toggle walking mode, SHIFT to switch between the user defined walk speed and the default (1) walk speed. Have this apply to both hooded and non-hooded movement in the exact same way for consistency.
I know there are more pressing things to work on but if you guys could do something about this I know there are a lot of players out there for whom these changes would have a massive impact from both a gameplay and immersion/roleplaying standpoint.
Let us spend 100 points on training an operative to have an extra skill/perk.
For example:
Swap to operative we want to train, go to HQ training room. Select train operative. Select operative with skill we want to train, lets say Aiden Pearce. New menu pops up with Aidens abilities and perks. Select System Crash (or any other perk). Select "Train Operative (100<>)", "Confirm". Progress bar appears (1 hour), both Aiden and the trainee will be unavailable for one hour. Now we can select another operative to play as in the meantime. After an hour training is complete and now our trainee has access to System Crash (or literally any other perk).
I'd say limit operatives to 5 perks max, and when a potential trainee has 5 perks if we want to train them in something else we can overwrite any of their current perks.
Give us a gold sink for influence points, gives players more customisation options which allows for more personal investment in the game, would be good for player retention, literally creates a new endgame out of a somewhat simple game mechanic.
It would be dope as hell.
@kmarkopl Are you a dev on the Legion team? I just don't understand what makes you an authority on what the vision for this game is. If you look at the early demo footage for the game you might be surprised to find a very well fleshed out character progression system. Ubi ultimately scrapped it for the current system, but I don't recall ever seeing them say that incorporating progression systems for our operatives was off the table entirely.
I think OP is right on the money with this idea - it would be a good 'goldsink' and reward grinding, would allow for more player freedom and choice as well as potentially create some really cool gameplay mechanics and combinations. One of the core concepts of the game is freedom - we're always fighting for freedom, the whole storyline is focused on the idea of freedom, the motto "play as anyone" is literally an example of this focus on freedom and player agency.
I don't understand why anybody wouldn't want this in the game.
I have the same issue. It started when the free weekend began. Main menu is also constantly prompting me to upgrade to the full game even though I bought the game on release and got the season pass when Bloodlines launched.
When I launched the game on Friday afternoon I could not play Online (it was greyed out in the main menu) until I selected Free Weekend in Ubisoft Connect. This triggered a 25Gb download after which I was able to play. The following day I launched Connect and it started the download again (the same one from the previous day), which was when all the operative icons got messed up and the game started acting like I didn't already own the full version. At first Mina was an asian guy with a moustache, then I relaunched and now almost all my operatives' icons are either Wrench or Wrench but greyed-out.
This is really bugging me. If I lose all my progress due to bugs I'm just gonna uninstall and regret spending my money and time. Free weekend has messed this game up really really bad to the point that it feels like a [censored] early access title whenever I hit tab.
Go to games tab, scroll down, select "Watch Dogs Legion Free Weekend" and boom, patch will download. Don't ask me why it works - I have no [censored] clue.
Would be awesome to have either randomly generated assassins we could recruit, let us establish our own brotherhood. Failing that, allowing us to train our operatives to make use of the hidden blades would be really cool - imagine a hitman or a spy with hidden blades (hitman especially - their stealth takedowns are so damn long).
I get that Darcy needs to be unique and should be a selling point for the season pass (I do have it myself) but it would make sense that an assassin recruited by dedsec would share some of their skills and equipment with the team. More customisation is always a good thing, you could restrict hidden blades training to season pass owners if necessary.
I just want my hitman to have hidden blades man damn it would be so cool, I love the animations and the sound effects but Darcy bugs me, she's always talking after every kill.
So yeah assassins as a specialist class or hidden blades training, two really really cool ideas that make sense. Please make it a thing it would rule.

@ubi-keo Thanks for the quick response
