This worked for me

Finally found a working solution!

1. Open NVidia Control Panel
2. Manage 3D Settings
3. Program Settings
4. Select "ACValhalla.exe"
5. Select "High-perfomance NVidia processor"
6. Press "Apply"
7. Restart Game

Whats Afterburner, I got nothing running by the name of that. I tried looking it up



@GTECreedSans - Yeh i have everything updated that I could possibly update haha. been trying to tweak this for like atleast 8 hours now

I get a black screen after the first in game sequence talking about Ymir the giant. I usually get to see Elvor for a second in the animus style loading screen before it chucks you into gameplay, at this point the framerates drop ridiculously low and I get a black screen or it just freezes on kid Elvor when it seems like your about to take control of him.

I have tried completely reinstalling, Moving it to my SSD, verifying game files and updating drivers but nothing seems to work.

Was thinking it could possibly be my specs, but I am seeing alot of people with the same problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My specs are listed below

• intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80Ghz
• Geforce GTX 1060
• 16GB RAM

Yeh dude im having the exact same issue. The game performance drops considerably to a stupidly low framerate before it completely freezes.

Havnt seen a fix to it yet

Your graphics card driver through Nvidia? Mine is up to date and still wont work for me

I get 1 cutscene when I try to start a new game, just some old lady talking about Ymir the first giant blah blah, but thats it I dont get to choose anything. I just attempt to load in from there and get a black screen

Hi guys, the issue I am having is when I get into the first in game sequence where you can take control and run around of your character in the animus style loading section ,the frames per second drop really low then as it goes to load up I just get a black screen and can hear the villagers in the background chatting away. There is nothing I can do from that point I have to force quit, sometimes I see kid Elvor, say a line or two then it goes to centre screen him like your about to take control and it freezes at the point as well.
