@bazzo7621
[SOLUTION] Use the "Power of Muspelheim" and then you can kill the Jotnar's.
I can not interact with any Jotnar in the Ragnarok DLC, they seem to be friendly NPC and just completely ignore me.
This is a GAMEBREAKING BUG since in the Malvigr mission I have to defeat 4 Jotnar, and this is NOT possible!
I tried to go back to Asgard and here the Jotnar also ignores me now. Also tried different difficulty levels.
PLEASE FIX ASAP
[SOLUTION] Use the "Power of Muspelheim" and then you can kill the Jotnar's.
PS: I can see other people has the same problem, and this was also a problem for some in the main game that was NEVER fixed!!!
@bazzo7621 I have the same problem, and it is a bug!
[ROOTCAUSE]
I spend some time digging deeper into the problem om my system, since crashes came back with latest big update.
Long story short when I disabled D.O.C.P. for my 32 GB RAM in the BIOS, the problem went completely away.
[SOLVED]
On my PC system I went into "Ubisoft Connect" -> "Settings" -> "General" and unchecked ALL boxes.
Now Discovery Tour runs smooth without crashes, just like the main game.
To Support:
Why do you not tell customers to send the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\debug.log" and the files in the "logs" and "crashes" subfolders ?
They could actually contain some game specific info, that can be used for debugging a problem.
@ubi-theberry come on Ubisoft I have been a professional software engineer since 1991 and what you ask will NOT help what so ever, just waste everybody time!
Why do the game not make a crash dump, a stack trace or some log files, with some real useful info I could send, that the devs can use to actually debug the problem.
And why do support never read the comments, since I clearly stated the main game has been running fine for 140h+, so do you really think the problem is on my site ???
I have also played FC6 100% with very few crashes.
"to give an update i tried launching valhalla itself and it worked fine but discovery tour crashes so it can't be my pc"
Same problem here and I have played 141h without ANY problems on my 3090/5900x Win10 system.
I can play discovery tour around 30-60 sec before it crashes to the desktop - please fix it Ubisoft!
And NO none of your fundamental Troubleshooting "tips" helps what so ever, big surprise.
Finally downloading (26 GB - done) in Denmark on PC ...
So 12.01 AM UTC is close to 14:01 local time.
@ubi-mark What a joke, have Ubisoft not tested anything at all ?
So far the post launch content of Valhalla has been an absolutely disgrace and was hoping the first DLC somewhat would rectified this a little and justify the extra cost of the gold edition, that I paid for in April last year.
I paid for the gold edition over a year ago when it was called Kingdoms - so good work Ubisoft.
BTW Ubisoft excellent spam filter will not allow me to upload an image, thanks again Ubisoft.
If I just run Valhalla on my 3090/3900x system it will either run at 10 fps from the start or either freeze or crash to the desktop within minutes of gameplay every time.
This don't happens to my other games and e.g. Legions ran perfectly on my system for 40 hours and 100% completion.
To get Valhalla to run smooth and with no problems for a long many hour session (current stat 93% / 94h) I have to do the following every time I start the game:
Valhalla has now run butter smooth with no stutter, freeze, bsod or caches for 10 hours with this setup on my 3090/3900x (before is was unplayable):
1. Remove all background task
2. Run program with realtime priority
3. See Hardware Unboxed video
So for me it is not the graphics driver and beside Legions ran perfectly on my system for 40 hours and 100% completion.
I have also noticed that on my system I can only start Ubisoft Connect in admin mode ...

I have RTX 3090 and AMD 3900x with 32GB where Watchdog Legions has run butter smooth with raytracing for 40 hours and 100% completion.
Valhalla is a complete mess not in the GPU where its stable 17-21 ms in Ultra 5120x1440, but in the CPU where it was up to 200 msec (average 16% load) equal 5 fps, totally unacceptable.
Removing Rivatuner, Afterburner, iCUE and all other background "stuff" did help a lot, but this has not been a problem ever also not in e.g. Origin and Odyssey.
But it still goes into a freeze every 30 min or so and can only be killed in the task manager.
BTW: Running from a NVMe the total load time is less than 10 sec.
