I love the game so far, the missions and story and well thought out and none of this take this here fetch this [censored] there ... Brilliant , combat is fun, but the gear is kind of pointless and here is the issues .... The perks aren't special ... Nothing to chase , the advantage each set gives is minimal and be had from a skill or ability ... And this is where Valhalla feels like a step backwards compared to odyssey

The way odyssey allowed character creation and to over ride the look of one armour with another was brilliant , and that needs to come back ... Sets need to have better bonuses , and we need real collectables ... The upgrade path for gear while nice means you don't really chase anything or try anything ... You just stick to what you like and run with it all game ... Kind of loses that replay value odyssey has ... Would also be nice if areas you have aligned with got attacked and you were called to aid them in defence of it once in while ... Just feels like once I've cleared ab area no real reason to go back unlike odyssey had .
