Far Cry related troubleshooting tips: https://discussions.ubisoft.com/post/795140
Can we get a Far Cry Map Editor section, to keep Map Editor-related discussions in one spot?
Maybe even 2 sections: one "Map Editor Support" for map making tips & tricks & support, and one "Published Community Maps" for showcasing them and playthroughs?
*edit*
Also, weird thing... I wasn't able to post in any of the (legacy) Far Cry Series boards at all. Maybe that explains why there isn't much content in here... yet.
I previously helped report an issue on the Xbox side of things that seems to be related to the Far Cry Arcade website. ( https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/138490/facing-endless-loading-on-far-cry-arcade-website-when-adding-on-favorite/24?lang=en-US )
Aside from this issue (or perhaps related) is the fact that all xboxone players are unable to publish (updates to their preexisting) maps due to a "Redhorn-7800018" error.
I guess Redhorn errors point to issues with the online map storage services rather than the G2W Arcade website, so I figure I make a separate post about this here..

Big thanks to Fallen_Champ and SETHO-1 for helping me test the MapSwapper!
@iizz-remiix-zzi It looks like the map was already ported to PC? So only the Xbox port would remain...

@chris2a2a Maybe try deleting the xml files in your Documents\My Games\Far Cry 6 folder will help?

@Segomeister Yep, it has a mod. But we can't talk about it on the forum.
That said, there's pretty much only 1 all-in-one mod for the game, and that has it. So, seek and you will find.

With the Far Cry 3 servers apparently shutting down on October 1 2022 now, it could make sense to do a quality of life update that removes the server connection from the game and removes the need for PunkBuster.
@reaby I'm also annoyed that links don't work. As-is now, they clutter posts that use them (i.e. https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/119929/far-cry-5-arcade-porting-maps-to-other-systems-using-mapswapper/61?page=4 ) , making the forum very unfriendly.

So if the game freezes when playing a new map (either single player or multiplayer), then I think the game is unable to write the map data to your local map cache. Maybe your storage is full?
You're not missing something, it's not possible. Unlike in Far Cry 4.
@redapg1 Yes, this really sucks, it's a longstanding issue that Ubi will obviously never fix. Some people say they 'never get this', but I'm very skeptical
On the old Forums, Ubisoft clearly knew about the issue and deemed it something they won't fix. See http://web.archive.org/web/20220330191158/https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/1998340-Known-issues-29-03-2019: (http://web.archive.org/web/20220330191158/https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/1998340-Known-issues-29-03-2019) :
[PC] Game stutters when autosaving
Description: In some cases, the game's framerate can drop when saving data, particularly during autosave
Status: Will not fix
Workaround: This stutter can be related to the low speed of the hard drive/SSD or the CPU load. Players experiencing this issue should reduce the visual settings of the game.
The workaround has been known to not work. I think the issue boils down to the savegame being larger than the game can write in a single chunk/tic, and as such the filewrite operation may be blocking (stalling) the rest of the engine, instead of it being a thread in the background.
@Ubi-Keo If it's not too much trouble, it'd be great if someone could publish the registry fix for the Steam version deployment. I'm not sure what causes that key to pop up there, but it's quite a nuisance. The game works fine without it.
@Undisputed_Ak27 Great! Note that if you decide to run the Far Cry 4 Map Editor, you may need to apply the same fix again afterwards.
There's a known issue that's affecting the Steam release of the game, where the presence of a specific value in the Windows Registry prevents the game from starting.
It was discussed on the old Ubisoft board, and the fix can be found there too. See https://regfix.farcry.eu: (https://regfix.farcry.eu) for the archived copy.
I can confirm I'm no longer getting the Redhorn-4800002 error on my end anymore. I've also heard from some other map makers that they're able to access Arcade again. So whatever happened, it seems to have been resolved a bit.
So looks like it's all 'Gouda' again!
I'm on AMD and my legacy Far Cry games run fine, so I can't exactly try a fix. But Process Lasso may also help you get the games running, if you don't like to change your boot parameters.
