@tanveerateel
On russian forum they said "You got just what you paid for" and closed the thread, no anwer as to what I'm to do if I didn't buy the game in russia and I'm not russian at all) Best support ever)) That was my last ubisoft game, they treat their customers like garbage.
@neagumihai I installed the game after the siege of Paris dlc, for a few days it was ok, and then it started.
@longjohn119 No, the issue is not with the drivers. I just tried the may version of Nvidia drivers, took me 10 min longer to crash in the river raids. Now I know what they meant by saying "The risk and reward expiriens". The constant risk is there now, because your game will probably crash and you will lose all your progress.
Newer had any issues after updating the drivers with any game except Valhalla. The problem is with the game, not with our system or hardware.
Same here. Getting freeze and crash at a random time, right now I'm trying to do the stealth mission from cubes and this is my 5th try after crashing. River raids and combat challenges are literally unplayable now, because there is no way to save the progress in those game mods.
Bought the season pass a month ago and wanted to finish all there is in the game right now, played 250 hours of the main game with little issues and rare crashes, but now with the update, the game is breaking me by crashing during missions in camps where I cannot save it.
So, I have the strangest feeling, I want to play this game, but at the same time even when I do, I have a fear at the back of my head that it will crash again and I will lose all the progress)
Good job Ubisoft, no need to care about people who bought your game already, right? Though I admit, if not for the crashes the post-launch would be pretty awesome so far.
@lokeole This is not for long, trust me. A few days ago I lowered all settings to medium and it crashed as usual. Today it was crashing after 5 then 15 min, then 1 hour with no crash, and then crash again. It is random, the issue is not the GPU, RAM, or CPU. I played 230 hours on ultra 45-70 fps before the update, it all started after the Siege of Paris DLC.
@neagumihai I think that in your case it is only the normal ubi crash that has been there since the launch, it would crash maybe one time during the play session, but now it crashes too often, sometimes every 5 minutes, sometimes even on loading the game, game modes like river raids and mastery challenges are unplayable, as well as long story missions where you cannot save, I barely was able to finish the 2nd DLC, almost every time it would crash at the first playthrough, so now when I play, this tension that the crash will get me at some point and I need to save ASAP, ruins the whole experience.
@azullfr There was no update on PC.
Hi All
Workaround and Fix for me on 1.3
DELETE CACHED FOLDERS. cache & file_cache -> Users\xxx\Documents\Assassin's Creed Valhalla -
I thought it was mods or corrupt save files. I had previously removed all mods and ForgerPathces files. Then Verified game files/Repair. I had also updated drivers. It still crashed. So I removed the cached data from documenst and that has seemed to work.
Played last night for a few hours with mesh mods. If I hit any new blackscreens or CTD's I will edit this post.
Greg
No, this doesn't do anything, I tried it many times. I begin to think that the problem is not with the game but, with the ubi connect, yesterday I was able to play 40 min before crashing because I launched the game from epic store, not from ubi connect.
@kolliasl21 I understand. When it comes to fixing and we need help, we are on our own, Ubisoft doesn't really care ones you bought their game.
@kolliasl21 In what app did you do it? In msi afterburner it doesn't work. I downloaded gigabyte app that shows the exact factory OC that was made, and set it to 0, only then it worked. One dude on youtube advised to lower it to -200 even, but for me, 0 was the less the app allowed.
Solved the problem by downloading the app that disables the factory OC on my GPU. So far no crashes, tested it in the river raids and in DLCs.
@kream Well, we are all here testing this thing and with no luck, that cloud save did nothing really to solve the problem, it crashes no matter what. To be honest, I just replied to your last post, I didn't even look at your nickname, but just because you don't like something, doesn't mean that it is what you say it is. I am very picky when it comes to games, the last game I have played for over 300 hours was W3, after that no game could impress me as much as Valhalla did. So calm down, we are all different, it is not all about you AC lowers, I wanted the massive Viking game, I got it. I am a big fan of the Vikings and TLK TV shows and north culture in general, Wardruna, Jasper Kyd, Magnuss Brun as the main voice, it all made me love this game.
But man, seriously, you need to take pills. Ubisoft what have you done to this one?
@kream We gathered here to get in order to discuss the game issue, not the game itself. You didn't like it, nobody cares. I love this game and all the DLC and additional content, it was amazing for me, unlike previous short, empty, and boring games that I couldn't force myself to finish, including AC1, AC2, and AC3. But again, we are here because we want to play it, and we simply can't because of the crashes.

Deleted all manual saves, played 40 minutes, and crashed in river raids, lost all the progress. The game is unplayable. Ubisoft keeps blaming us, but the problem is their broken game, but I wouldn't be so angry if not for them always ignoring their customers, this is not the first problem, the game is full of other bugs and non-working mechanics, stats are broken, music is too quiet and almost newer there while exploration, unbalanced main hero voice is too loud, enemy Ai is still broken, soldiers walking backward instead of attacking, inventory menu is trash basked where you have to search for your needed gear for minutes, if you live in Europe close to russia and bought the game in ES they force you to to play in russian localization only, and the list goes on and on. For most of these, there are threads on ubisoft forums, and hundreds of customers are asking them to fix the product that they paid for, but the response is similar to what we get here.
Guys, the only thing that can help us with such behavior is the law and court, they need to be sued for this and pay for cheating thousands of their customers.
