@ubi-ray
What are videos going to show? If none of you guys have played the game at all, including the developers, that's an explanation. If you guys do not know what head-shots look like that would explain it, I suppose. I've got over 800 hours playing the game (it's good but has too many bugs to be AAA or great), I know how to do a head-shot that I know must have been a head-shot. If you don't trust me on that then I suppose that would also explain the requirement for a video. If you guys don't know what the screen looks like in Connect then that, too, would explain the need. I struggle to find alternative reasons. Please stop asking a crowd of people (people who like the game enough to bother complaining) for unnecessary proof. Just get it fixed.
While I'm here please also sort out the foreign supplies problem. I've got 4750 already, after the Wayland armour, but can't use those for the Sigrblot task and can't get any new supplies. See above for reasons why I'm not going to provide a video.
@ubi-anyone
With the Ubisoft Connect challenges I can see a reason for doing 50 kills of a specific type or 100 kills of any type . . .
. . . but FIFTY River Raids? I just timed how long it took from starting the conversation with Vagn to regaining control of Eivor at the dock in Ravensthorpe - 7 (seven) minutes without doing anything on the raid other than pressing down on the d-pad and selecting "go home".
Minimum 350 minutes (50 minutes per day for a week) to get FIVE opals and 25 xp???
This is mad!!!
Hello. Since earlier today, so 1.2.1, I am getting spammed about the Mōdraniht tattoo set. If I leave them in the inventory I get a message every ten minutes (that is not a joke though the five minutes in the topic title is an exaggeration) that there's new unlocks. If I "unload" them at Tove's then the tattoos reappear in the inventory, with the individual items appear on-screen as well as the "new stuff" message. I am not doing anything to prompt this, when talking to Reda, when running from A to B, loading the game, there's no pattern. I suppose it must be related to autosave somehow.
I got the tattoo set in the Yule festival. I am not sure if I had to re-download it at Easter with the Godly pack or whatever it was called but I had the tattoo set "installed" at Tove's place after that and before the 1.2.1 update.
Do you really need a video of this?
I've been watching Reda's shop since 24th March and there are repeat items. Perhaps that's by design and/or is totally random but it's irritating to get XXX again when there are other items of interest. Can this be adjusted so that eventually all the pieces are guaranteed to appear before repeats start?
Gothic Figurehead (27th March daily, 18th April daily)
Black Raven Armor (30th March daily, 10th May daily)
Black Raven (Back) (30th March weekly, 16th April daily)
Blood Eagle Totem (30th March weekly, 28th April daily)
Valkyrie Effigy (1st April daily, 22nd April daily)
Muspelheim Brasero (10th April daily, 4th May weekly)
@aorus2017
I think you misunderstand the original post. There is no complaint about anyone buying anything, it's simply that there is a lack of historically-realistic stuff to buy.
There's interpretation of the whys and wherefores of Ubisoft releasing the things that they do release but whatever way you look at it, there definitely is a deficiency of realistic items.
I posted the same thing in "general discussion". I timed it from pressing A to talk to Vagn until regaining control of Eivor at the dock in Ravensthorpe - seven minutes. That's just to get to the raid and exit immediately. XBox One X connected via ethernet cable to a high-speed internet connection. Admittedly the game is on the external disk but I am unsure that makes any difference. Even so grinding that out forty-eight more times? It's ridiculous.
@imaginaryruins
I agree completely with the business about the small bit of the house. The game's excellent. The attacks are not warranted - if you really are that annoyed, go and do something else.
There is something about the approach from the support team, though - there are aspects that just do not make sense. Why the insistence on videos for everything? They even ask for videos of stuff that is not possible to reproduce (eg, the one about letters to Eivor that disappear - they've already disappeared). Constructive posts with videos are ignored where posts flaming Ubisoft are answered. Asking players stuff like "please tell us what that key is for" - how can Ubisoft not know that? Why do they expect players (who used one of the fifty or so keys once, weeks ago, where the name is ambiguous and the use of the key is robotic and not in any way memorable) to remember that?
Of particular note is that on many occasions when looking at this forum, it's easy to get the impression that people at Ubisoft do not play the game. For example, a simple description of a bug where all that it takes is for them to load the game and have a look or play for about 20 seconds; eg, if I stand and wait, catch a spear from a Standard Bearer and throw it back to kill him then raven looting doesn't work - just go to Winchester and try it out. If there's no shopkeeper in Fornburg or drinking game in Alrekstad, just load the game and try it, it's actually much simpler just to go there and see. There are not so many bugs that the time spent "on all of them" would be overwhelming.
The response from support is not all bad, though. Some responses are pretty quick and sometimes it's clear when they've really picked up the ball on a given issue. Many bugs have been fixed. Others are going to be fixed.
A bit (lot?) more patience from players and a bit more engagement from the support team and the support would go a whole lot more smoothly.
@gt40i
The loading times thing is a bit weird, it seems to be not only on PS and Xbox but also PC. At the moment the first responses from Ubisoft are that there aren't other reports of long loading times, this is in a thread with about a dozen different people complaining about the same thing.
The raids . . . must be a mistake. Fifty kills on River Raids, even a hundred - tick, no problem. Five River Raids - again, no problem. They do not usually bother to fix that kind of thing, like the absent items in Reda's shop, as it is going to go away in just under two days anyway.
@ubi-mark
You wrote "can you please check if you installed your additional content with this link?" which, to me, is a clear implication that the customers might not have installed it properly.
This is wrong and I don't like that implication. I looked at "manage game" earlier today and it was not there.
Now it is. Clearly Ubisoft and/or Microsoft has changed something. Please change the story to, "Yes, something went wrong and it wasn't your fault."
Some messages from you guys are infuriating so, while I avoid it and it is not acceptable, I can see why there are some abusive posts. For example, you guys can't ask colleagues for a list of items in Reda's shop (that is just mad), you ignore some messages about bugs completely (no Great Aegis rune?), you don't update the "known issues" list with items that have been repeatedly posted, you claim that common-and-easy-to-find bugs can't be reproduced (enemies not throwing anything after a red "targeting" thing appears), you ask for screen shots in situations where you either have no idea what the game looks like or you take the position that you do not believe what customers tell you, you ask the customers what in-game items do ("please let us know what the key we put in the game does" - again, completely mad) and that's just off the top of my head with threads I've started or to which I've contributed.
Also, people are right to complain about the unfailing and flawless appearance of new cosmetic items (yes, they're just cosmetic, that there's a rune doing something is hardly substantial) when there are bugs lasting months in the game that can be sorted out extremely easily (just add a chest with three big flatfish, for crying out loud, until the blasted things can be put in the game properly).
@Ubi-TheBerry it's Forgotten Saga where the raven mechanism is disabled, I use the raven routinely in Svartalfheim
@Ubi-Keo you could be right but it's suspicious that this issue has come up for Twilight items and settlement cosmetic items - both of those have had bugs relating to whether they appear for purchase, my thought was there might be a flag somewhere that isn't correctly "seen", in one case it fails due to the following mechanism but in the other case the mechanism goes ahead because it doesn't "know" it's not supposed to, if you see what I mean
so it might appear to be different but whatever way you view it, there IS a bug of some kind with settlement cosmetics, and it is going to be a flag that is not right, so I think it's still possible and therefore worth pointing out to the developer team anyway
@Ubi-Keo please stress that it is possible that all cosmetic items might be bugged in this way; they appear in Reda's shop as available for purchase even if owned and this "free item" mechanism could well be affected the the same manner
@XBL_Laberbacke ha - now you mention that I've seen that one, too, though it's still faster to get Eivor to do the job (though in Odyssey I do like getting the different factions to kill each other, fun trying to engineer that)
thinking more I believe I've seen Muspels on fire, need to check that one, obviously, but seem to recall thinking I saw it - maybe it was a napalm-Muspel and that fire behaves differently
today in Reda's Rubbish we have White Fang (Ullr's Hunter mount) for the 1st time
didn't notice that I was beaten to it today!
Flame-Keepers resurrect enemies - even those hostile to them; just saw wolves get resurrected three times only to start attacking again - mildly amusing

@Savvage91 the forgotten saga one should be done now . . . just checked, yes it is; the other one is probably not happening this week (second time that the 100 million target is going to be missed, it was not reached the last time it appeared)
Reda's Rubbish Review
last week was "poor" with 4 out of the 13 being new-to-Reda items
the other 9 share 32 appearances so 23 repeats
their 8 sets share 581 appearances - 395 of these have been repeats but 6 of the 192 items in the sets have never appeared
poor indeed
Reda of Rubbish fame is offering Dragon Knight Pants (Blood) for the first time today.
