@ziggurcat Yeah, making a mistake in releasing the Yule stuff was one thing, but the lack of movement in bug fixing or even interaction here from official ubisoft ppl is laughable. Its been almost almost 3 weeks since we all started getting buggy save games and theres been no patch nor any word of one. Funny thing is I'm about 90% done, only Hampshire to go - so by the time Ubisoft pull thier finger out I'll be done with Valhalla anyway.
TBH, its really putting me off buying any further Ubisoft games. I think I'l go play Miles Morales next, rather than Fenyx Rising. I trust Insomniac to make a game that isn't going to rob me of my actual real-life money and will do exactly what it says on the tin.
Having the same problem here: all my fully upgraded quivers are now at Level 1while my Rations still stay at 7.
I've been told its part of the Yule bugs, like being permanently drunk.
I've had exactly the same thing happen to me, also on a PS5. I quit the game and then on relaunch this morning all my Berserker gear - all the armor and the shield and sword too - were placed back in my inventory as if they were 'new' - despite having had it all since I started playing the game, as part of the game pack I bought.
Plus, I'd gone to all the time, trouble, and my own real-life money in purchasing Materials Packs to upgrade the gear - only to have it demoted by Ubisoft, for no apparent reason.
Coupled with still being drunk on launch, having had my fully upgraded quiver borked by the stupid Yule stuff (none of which I want anyway) I'm sarting to feel Ubisoft owe me some money, or at least some materials and an apology.
[censored] is going on Ubisoft? I ws so looking forward to this game, but its been a comedy of errors since the beginning. Please stop robbing me of my money and please fix this game.
@thatemmacotton My thoughts exactly.
I put this game down last year when the Yule DLC totally b0rked my game - and it was known then that neither Big Mackerel or Big Flatfish existed. In fact, I commented on it in another thread sometime in December.
So I'm gobsmacked that they A) Haven't fixed it or B) Offered players an alternative fish to get, to be able to actually finish the game...
Yanno, just like they managed to do by changing Wolf Fang to Arctic Fox Fur in hunting several patches ago, so that we didn't get hung up on one ingredient and not be able to finish the quests.
But, sure - as much as I like cats IRL - I'd rather they fixed the freaking fish. Or changed out the fish in the two lists that require Big Mackerel and Flatfish

@cmhoughton I went to Vinland twice. First time I shot my entire quiver at the sea, went back to Ravensthorpe and I was able to hold 20 arrows in my hunter quiver.
Next time I went back I did exactly as you posted - I bought a full quiver of 20 arrows and fired them off. Went back to England and nothing changed, and I've never managed to buy/loot more than 20 arrows at a time since.
My guess is the unequipping/equipping different gear sets fix only works the one time, sadly
@ubi-woofer - just wanted to let you know the bug is also happening on PS5s too.
My fully upgraded quiver went from 30 to 12, just after I made the mistake of participating in the horribly bugged Yule celebrations, either the 17th or the 18th december.
And even after a trip to Vinland to shoot my remaining arrows there at the sun - returning back to Ravensthorpe my quiver still only held 20 hunter arrows. I mean, as an archer, I'll take 20 arrows over 12, but still....
Sadly, I now no longer have any fabric - having used my last 5 pieces for an altar quest. So, I'm no longer in a position to re-upgrade it, even if I wanted to. And, no, I don't want to - I want Ubisoft to fix this.
I put thousands of units of resources into upgrading the quiver- some of which I purchased as a materials pack from the store, using my own Real-Life money, so am feeling particularly aggrieved that - despite the flood of problems with the Yule Festival add-on - nothing seems to be fixed.
Same goes with my upgraded Berserk Armour - which mysteriously disappeared from my inventory, only to reappear as a base-level set that needed to be upgraded - AGAIN - to get it back to its original state. No explanation - nor any promises for reimbursement or solutions - was given by Ubisoft.
I'm now having serious doubts as to whether I'm even going to purchase Immortals Fenyx Rising because of this. If you can b0rk a popular and best-selling franchise like AC, heaven knows what you're going to unleash in a new IP.
Both myself and my partner are long time game devs, so the game development life-cycle is no mystery to us. We're all struggling with this pandemic, no doubt it makes life and work a lot harder - but this game simply wasn't ready to release in november. Especially the awful Yule stuff, that seems to have broke so many ppls games, and which was never offered as an add-on, just kludged into the game unasked for.
You've known this was a problem for almost 2 weeks now - when will it get fixed?

@ftsi Sorry to hear the Vinland route didn't help - I was literally going to post here that it did actually work for me!
I'm still drunk all the time, but I can deal with that one better than I can having no arrows constantly
So, this bug still exists - in my game anyway - on 26/12/2020. I'm also drunk on loading the game every time, after making the mistake of interacting with the Yule events. Thanks.
And while losing all my quiver capacity (not to mention the hours I spend grinding collecting leather and ore, or the money I spent buying supplies endlessly to upgrade them) isn't a exactly gamebreaker - as an archer, trying to conquer new territory while having Level 1 capacity quivers is nigh on impossible.
I now wish I'd just left the Yule stuff well alone. Honestly, the armor and weapons aren't worth the hassle of having my game broken. Its particularly egregious that a week after the first bug reports came in that this is still an active bug.
