Hello, friends of the production team and fans of Assassin's Creed.
I am an AC fan from China, and my English is limited. I hope you won't mind.
This Valhalla, the content is my favorite, but I'm a little disappointed with some of the rendering performance in the game. I wonder if the experts in the production team could improve it in the later stage?
First, it's the protagonist's cloak. In the promotion of CG and the original painting, eivor has no Cape. It looks strange. It always feels weird. In particular, in the non hidden state, the cloak is very rigid, like a board on the back, which greatly affects the sense of substitution.
Second, the fur shawl, which we know as a must-have item for the Vikings. I found that all fur shawls in the game don't sway with the wind. There is no wind setting in the game. This reminds me of the fur decoration on Connor's left shoulder in the DLC of King Washington in AC3,every hair will swing with the wind, and the physical effect of cloth swinging with the wind should be more vivid. I don't know why the rendering effect of Valhalla is not as good as the old ID before under the condition of better technology. It's visually disappointing.
I wonder if the friends of the production group will upgrade the physical effect in the later stage? Make fur more like fur than a piece of felt, especially the shawl of the Raven clan suit! What's more, is it possible to design an option to hide the Cape without hiding both the hood and the cape? Meet our players a small wish! Viking with a cape is really not Viking.
Finally, thank you very much for your work. Your idea is so great that it can't be described in words. I love you all.
A good and magnificent Viking saga is about to end in such a insincere and perfunctory way. So far, three DLCs have been updated and patched, and even the physical effect of a single fabric can not be improved. Without changing the modeling, it is only a shopping mall suit that disrupts the matching. All these make people lose their original enthusiasm for the assassin's Creed series. This work gives me the feeling that it is entirely for the purpose of making money during the epidemic. In the future, my player friends and I will never pre order any AC games, never!
@ubi-raziel Thank you very much for your reply. I read it several times with excitement... Ha ha
It is because I love this Valhalla too much, so very hope it in the game, in the protagonist's image display can be perfect, perhaps this is my picture of obsessive-compulsive disorder problem. I hope it stays on my computer until I'm 70, haha. I really like the theme that the production team and the creative people bring this time.
Pray that in the next update, I will see my careful wishes come true.
Thank you again for your hard work and sweat. Love you guys~ pay attention to rest guys~

I wonder if the developers of Ubisoft have found that there are fewer and fewer online players in Valhalla. I and a large group of AC fans around me have played a beginning since the siege of DLC in Paris, but they haven't continued. Why? Because we think that the current Ubisoft is no longer the Ubisoft that used to focus on polishing details and restoring history. The AC series has changed its flavor.
Valhara is a good theme, but the development team really doesn't pay enough attention to this work.
1. All energy is spent on money. However, the suits and models in the mall are the same, but they have changed the color matching and component matching, and even do not conform to the history at all. How did so many plate armor appear in that era when chain armor was very precious?
2. No attention has been paid to the sense of substitution and details. All clothes and fur accessories do not have any physical effect simulated by cloth. When the long ship is driving at high speed and the north wind of Norway is howling, there is no sign of hair and clothes fluttering, just like wearing cardboard! Is technology not up to it? I absolutely don't believe it. Even mount & Blade II: bannerlord produced by a small studio can add cloth simulation to various patches, which can't be done by a game company as big as Ubisoft? The physical effects of the hair and clothes of God of war 4 and wicher 3 completely crush valhara, and even the physical effects of Odyssey can not catch up.
3.The siege of Paris was a complete rush to work. The Druid's wrath DLC gives people a refreshing feeling both in music and on the set. Is it the so-called siege of England or the so-called siege of France that makes DLC focus on the details alone?
We believe that the focus of saving AC series is not the speed of producing works, but the delicacy. It is very important to tell every story well and have a good sense of substitution for each product. Only exquisite goods can be collected by consumers; No one is willing to spend money on the same renovated goods with no new ideas. What about you?
Of course, finally, thank you for your hard work. I hope you will continue to improve this work.
I don't know how satisfied Valhalla's team is with their work. The new works we are looking forward to are not as good as the first two. Where is sincerity? The fur on your shoulders is not so much fur as steel wire. Is it difficult to break through in technology? Or sacrifice quality in order to make money? There are only a few models of the suit in the mall.
I wrote a post before, expressing how much I look forward to and how much I love this work. But recently, when I replayed Assassin's Creed Origins, I wanted to cry. Why is that?
The reason is that, with Valhalla, I've been waiting for it for so long, keeping an eye on what's going on, and when it became available for pre-order, I bought it as soon as it was available. However, after playing, I think the work has a lot of flaws. After replaying Origin, I felt even more like the production team wasn't sincere enough.
First of all, compared to the original picture, the physical effects of the cloth of the clothes really cannot bear to look directly at it. The clothes of the protagonist of the Hall of Valor are very stiff, and there is no feeling of swinging in the wind. Bayek's clothes are vivid in every detail. I don’t believe that the technology of the Montreal Working Group cannot go beyond the origin, at least the same standard, but now, the performance of the origin is much better. Aivor's fur shawl is like a cardboard. How can the fur be so stiff? Moreover, wind and sand can be seen everywhere in the origin, and no matter how strong the wind in the Hall of Heroes is, the clothes, fur and hair cannot be blown. Even the wind is too lazy to do it. The origin is sandstorm. Should there be snowstorms in Norway and Scotland?
Secondly, the appearance of the protagonist's equipment is too different from the CG, especially the cloak, which is the most intolerable! Don't tell me that you can hide the cloak, because that will hide the fur shawl. The fabric texture and physical effects of the entire Raven clan suit are very stiff, and the cloak behind it seriously affects the sense of substitution. Why didn't Valhalla be used at all for the advantages in "For Honor"?
Finally, I want to talk about the task of "The Way of Berserker". After Bjorn became a follower, every time I went online, I had to redeploy him once, and I couldn't keep him in the crew. This is a bug, is it difficult to fix it? And what I don’t understand is, what about his two-handed axes? What about his dual wielding hammer? The working group designed a series of characters, only to give us a crew member who has no characteristics except height? A shield and an axe. In his hand, it is like holding a plate in his left hand to block and waving his right hand. With a fork. . . Shouldn't Bjorn be made more like a berserker?
Can the physical effects of degraded clothes be improved? Can the cloak be removed? Can a berserker really be like a berserker? At least I can stay on the boat forever. . .
The deeper the love, the harder the hatred! Hope the guys in the working group can understand. I sincerely hope that Valhalla's work will be perfect. Hope you can consider my suggestion.
Hope the Montreal guys are happy every day. In any case, thank you for your dedication and hard work. Love all of you.
