just as the topic said. I don't know what happened to the thread "heartbreaker nerf" but I still have to say I hate it, the hb. It's already the only right choice: 6 blue cores still could kill people with in 1s
After this maintenance,
we finally get our wasted resources,
and the Heartbreaker is changed to a still powerful but not so much overpowered gearset.
Even though they should come earlier, it's still glad to see devs' actual actions.
Seems crashes, frozens, deltas and other bugs are now moving out of the waiting list...
@xcel30 u cant persude them to show any understanding to ur opinions. they just want to simply walk through the legendary missions and kill tons of the npcs in a short time, in order to please themselves, the diversity of builds is meaningless to them.
in the sights of those who don't think refund is proper, we might need to thank ubi for not wipe and ban our account since we didn't predict 20 is the right max level and played with our weapons and gears
we should always keep eyes on the expertise level so that we could stop killing enemies while it's going to be upgraded and go donate instead
or
we just not allowed to kill enemies while the expertise system released because that's using the bug even if it's not announced nor confirmed because players need to know the mind of ubi naturally
see, how evil we were!
then our wasted exotic parts are just the indulgence
XD
It's good to see the shields have a weakpoint, but is it too much while 100 harzard protection builds still suffering it? I am pretty sure that players using the harzard protection builds are trying to avoid all status debuffs, in order to get closer to the enemy and stand longer. They need to give up almost all of the offensive cores, even some useful defensive cores like armor regen, but still will lost their directions once their shield is broken, is it fair enough?
I suggest to link the shield broken debuff with the harzard protection, it could be strict, like only 100, the highest percent could avoid it totally.
@madinogi those who are supporting the heartbreaker don't compare it with other gears at all. they will compare it with those in td1 or tu7, they are seeking for the same or even better feelings than before, not caring about and also not belive this game have any further future, just take this gearset an end-game gear which should be powerful enough. thus it's no use to give such kind of evidence to them, since they won't do a real communication with you, but keep talking in their way and diss you. if you look over this 8-paged thread, you will find out that most players who suggested a nerf are trying to hear and give the relevent evidence, while the opposite always do diversionary and personal attacks. of course, there are exceptions, it is a great pleasure to discuss with those who have logic, but the trend is like that. also, there is someone partly translate this thread to a chinese forum, calling us "ghost looked foriegner" and dissed a lot, it just showed how is that group behaved. now there's a mystery that we dont really know which group is larger in active td2 players... let's wait for the ruling of the massive
if the gear obtained by the player after a long period of grinding cannot easily crush enemies of any difficulty
...the heart breaker could be gathered easily without stats requirements and have both high dps and 200% bonous armor, is that the thing u r talking about? The previous builds is much more liked to be what u were saying, strict stats requirements, long-time gathering, optimization... NO NOT THE HEART BREAKER
For your saying, I think you need to call a enhancement for all other equipments with your current evidence, instead of protecting the heart breaker for a short-timed happiness and harm yourself in the long-timed future.
If you think HB is OP, please avoid it and don't use it, but at the same time please don't take away the joy of players who want to use it to crush enemies...
ummm... so the HB users could take away the joy of players who want to have a fair pvp match? You should be fair to all the player groups.
And even if we forget pvp, will it be good as HBs rush forward and block the bullets and oxids and bfbs with their body instead of the shields? Did you think about what your teammates' feelings? No, you just care about yourself.
In fact, for the legendary missions, I could even use the sacrify with the bullet king in serval scences and not being killed instantly. That means, there're a lot of players like me do not use the same build for a whole legendary mission. For example, you could use the motar turret at the beginning of the arena, then when you get inside the room, change to hive or the hungry hog, or even pestilence to break those tanks' weakpoints and armor plates...you get it? If everyone in your team not doing silly things, there still are a lot of choices. And I suggest it's the core of the game.
As you know, the legendary is the higest difficulty in the game, so should it be something that the players could easily dancing on it? HB made a fresh 40-leveled player have the possibility to complete it easily, is that fair to all other players who spend a lot of time on their builds?
It's surely annoying to see nearly all of the players in the PVP hold a shield, which makes the build kinda limited to 4 blue cores and 2 red, and if you use other builds, even 6 red cores, you still couldn't break their shields. So I'm very glad to see this nerf in PVP.
But,
In PVE, the shield, even the 6-blue-cored shield, it makes no scence, because the AI's attacking logic is to kill the one who was causing the most damage, which means the one who spend less cores on self-defending. The AI won't shoot the shielder at all, even if they are getting really close to the AI. In this situation, the shielders are not the tank for the players' team, but the tank for AI, they are always stopping the friendly bullets for AI and couldn't prevent friendly dps from death!
So the problem of shield is, on the threat logic to AI, instead of how hard it is. The truely nerf for the shield, which also means makes their users easier to die, should not on the health, but the threat to AI. They need to suffer more bullets, trying their best to survive and help the whole team with that, not just stand there and never been shot, watching the dps dies again and again, and say "could you fking noob stop dying" then kick the one who was really making effort.
@hybridfreak That is the right point. No one wanted to see a gearset nerfed to ground, it should keep it's feature as it's popular. However, it should be "banlanced", as it's the fastest and the least buggy way to keep the whole game enviornment stable. The only mistake that devs made, is they gave players 4 apples in the morning and decreased to 3 in the evening, if they give 2 first and then increase it to 3, those who are always being aggressive would happily accept it, even though the possible new players won't be influenced by a new gearset of a unfamiliar game, whether it's op or not.

@noxious81 nothing here as they promised in this maintenance, same as the appravel. also, I don't believe they will give the right amount back as they said it's no way for them to caculate... really got disappointed
@suschunga believe in me, even if ubi did this roll back, there still will be plenty of players grinding to the max level in a day
so where are my exotix parts =. =
are they just wasted because of a "bug" which wasn't explained by ubi officially until this rollback?
who the hell knows whether 30 or 20 is the right thing?
@dedloc if u need, I can give u the links, you could google translate them. however, it might could break the forum rule, so I wont do it if u not strongly requested. however, it doesn't mean there're not such things
sweet reminder, u r also one of the "ghost-looked forieigner", just not the "elite" ones in his sight
@dedloc oh I didn't mention, that chinese guy who partly translated the thread and used racial words had called chinese players in that forum to join this poll, while a big amount of them dont even know english.

@agt_z If sth is a bug, ok, the players could be punished. If sth not a bug, then players have the right to use it. The tomb, the summit, the convoys, are definetely not a bug.
The suggestion u said is not unpopular, but a wrong idea.
