It's really disappointing that we have to pay another 40$ even if we have the season pass. I don't know if I'll play it; I think it's really disrespectful from Ubisoft.
There were female vikings. It has been confirmed many times by History and I remember even recent discoveries about this that were saying that it was a more common thing than we thought.
Also, play as the male option if you don't want the female one. Both versions are canon for the animus; there's an in-game explanation for this.
As for the dialogues of male Eivor being called a female, it's surely a bug, and they will correct it. I'm playing as female Eivor and sometimes she's being adressed as an "he" in bandits camps for example, which is also a bug they will eventually correct.
It's not broken. I don't want to spoil you, but Eivor is a male only in some particular sequences. In her actual story, when you take the option to let the animus decide, she's a female.
I'm not far in the game, but it's really disappointing to read this I hope they will add more options or at least turn Vili into a real romance option!
There has always been history and science fiction in AC games since the Isus and the Animus have always been there. They're adding to it since the most recent games, but the series hasn't really changed because of that.
I prefer Odyssey for the huge world and for the really interesting sidequests, and I also prefer Kassandra to Eivor, but I still really like both games because both stories are great, same for the characters. For me, it's a bit similar to comparing Odyssey to Origins. I prefer Odyssey, but Origins is great, too. That being said, I don't think they would release two different types of game, maybe they'll just alternate.
What is really annoying with the timed content is also that they are always bugged, and they don't patch it. At least, that was what they did with the Yule festival, so I ended up not even playing it.
I'm a straight woman too, and I think Eivor looks great. She doesn't have to look like Kassandra, actually, it would be annoying if all the characters look the same. I also don't mind her deep voice.
@firerwolf113 My Eivor remained single because the only interesting "romances" for me ended up being flings. I really wanted Vili to be a permanent romance option because I love childhood friends trope, and I would have liked to romance Hytham too. More characters important to the story should be romance options, and I also think the number of male and female romances should be the same.
I also think Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are all great games. It's your choice to not like Valhalla, but I personally think the trilogy is a good way for the series to improve. I think the boss fight are challenging and interesting this way
I'm personally not interested in playing AC games in coop; it just really feels like a solo game for me. So if they ever add some coop, I hope it won't be as important as it was in Unity.
@the_vig1lante I personally really like both Odyssey and Origins. Origins is about the creation of the Hidden Ones, and Odyssey is a bit more about the Isu, but there are also some pre-Hidden Ones stuff, so it's part of the AC lore. But if you're not feeling a connection to them, that's your opinion.
I would love a crossover between Odyssey and Origins for sure, especially considering the fact that Kass is Aya's ancestor.
@shope4f0c359 Origins is a really great game! I personally prefer it to Valhalla, but I prefer Odyssey to Origins, so it depends from a person to another! You mostly play as Bayek, but there are a few moments in the game where you have to play as Aya.
I hope we'll get a crossover with Bayek and/or Aya for sure, too, especially that Aya is Kass' descendant. It would be really interesting!
I'm really hyped to see Kassandra again, too. She's one of my favorite character from the series and with temporary immortality, there are a lot of possibilities!

I also prefer the historical parts of the games, but for the first time since Desmond, I thought the Modern Day was interesting in Valhalla.
I would love to have more hairstyles, too. I like the first one and the one from Wrath of the Druids, but that's pretty much it.
Well, if you like the series, I wouldn't recommend you to skip one of the games. I personally really like Syndicate. Rogue isn't my favorite one, but I still like it, too. So yeah, I wouldn't skip any of them if I were you.
