Hey there - please note there will be major DLC spoilers (i will try to use the spoiler brackets if thats a thing on this forum).
I'd also like to say that i appreciate that Ubisoft is one of the few companies that is still putting out content on a semi regular basis despite the whole covid shenanigans and if everything im going to point out is simply due to time constraints then it is quite alright - i'm mostly worried about the people who wrote this thinking its actually well done.
So i have 2 major gripes with this DLC and they are, as mentioned in the topic, a story where character choices make absolutely no sense and a complete lack of playeragency.
spoiler
Last but not least another thing i found quite disappointing was the fact that at the very beginning of the DLC Eivor is given the choice between wine / ale / ill drink anything. I picked Ale so naturally my Eivor kept chugging wine like its the new hotness the entire DLC long. This might seem minor (and it is really) but overall its very telling for the issues the DLC has.If AC Origins started adopting some of the strengths that games like Witcher 3 had - namely minor player agency in every little quest and great storytelling, then Valhalla perfected it but this particular DLC was a huge step in the wrong direction.
All of this lack of playeragency in relation to the story is even more confusing when you consider that the gameplay in particular tried to bring more agency back to the player - giving stealth kill alternatives to the frontal assault in several missions (although even those end up feeling quite linear but i didnt actually try to check out all the choices so i dont really know)
Sincerely

+1 the collision in this game is awful and was one of the things i mentioned in beta feedback.
I cant count the number of times other playerrs "clip" inside me from behind and the game then shoves me away from them. It just doesnt work properly and even if it did its about as "fun" as a circumcision.
Alright bois. Can we talk about the race goals and the decision to make ghosts the challenges to beat?
I would love to hear the limitations of this because as i see it its an unbelievably bad feature since people can set crazy times with overpowered gear for lower difficulties and then the only thing that decides over winning and losing is which ghosts you RNG against.
On the reddit post below are 2 races at expert difficulty where the goal was to get 1st for the 3star challenge. The winning ghost is, in the first screenshot was 7!!! seconds faster than everyone else except me. He also runs gear that has ~250 better gearscore than what i use.
I did the same race again only to be set against the same freaking ghost again and shaved ~3 seconds of my previous time which was still WAY slower than him.
Like holy hell did not nobody see coming how abuseable this system is?
There was a different even race where the goal was to get 3rd place on pro or better on the 20 gearscore icecream bike. I was matched agaisnt peoples ghosts with 700+! gearscore AGAIN (can provide screenshot if desired - didnt want to overload the post).
How the hell is that okay?
PS: Whoever thought enabling collision in all modes is a good idea deserves a serious talking to.
Cheers - please fix this!
I'll link the reddit thread with the same post here since i cant post images on this board but the images are there on reddit:

Aight bois,
from now on, everytime i lose a 2 minute run because a "ghost" collided with me and rammed me 5 miles off the track from out of nowhere with no way i could have ever anticipated it and no way i could avoid it, i will [censored] in the eyes of a newborn puppy until its blinded for life.
Ball is in your court assholes.

Orochis low stamina offense that is only punishable on read AND requires insane reaction times to even be allowed to make that read.
Raider damage numbers or remove his soft feint GB on heavy/UB
deflect/dodge attack option selects.
Game is in a horrible state balance wise.

It just looks worse than before.
I cant see as many threads in 1 glance, everything is huge with massive empty spaces - feels awful tbh.
I understand this is a somewhat common issue.
Did anyone figure out a solution to this problem?
As topic suggests - everytime i close/start the game my Jormsvikings outfit and weapons are reset to the default hobo look.
Edit: My main Uplay is "KitingFatKidsEZ"
