Meh
@darknessviking This has to be a troll post.
Still no official word on the matter?
This is becoming a bit of a joke now, Ubi.
@liamgg Like Unity worked fine? Have to disagree here. AC is an open world RPG. It should remain that way and that way only. Also, if you add Multiplayer, you will almost certainly be taking something away from singleplayer attention wise. Ubisoft should continue to dedicate to singleplayer where AC belongs. Not everything needs multiplayer.
Not entirely sure if this has been covered so I'm sorry if it has. I've been playing a bit of Origins lately (until the screen tearing in Valhalla has been fixed) and I've noticed how longer the day and night cycle is. It might be just me but It feels better in Origins. I would of preferred a similar day and night cycle to Origins tbh.
@seanc-87 Considering the power the Series X has... I would have thought that would have been a given.
@odelpha Agreed. The screen tearing is very bad on the Series X. They really need to do something about it along with the sound quality.
@sofajockey Back when Bioware could write. I miss the days of KOTOR and Mass Effect
@netspook Berating someone for their opinion is incredibly childish and unneeded. Everyone is going to have different views and experiences from the recent changes Ubisoft has made and the fact that you think the OP should just put up with it and not be able to share his/her opinion to spare your fan boy feelings is wrong. Let's face it, there are problems and Ubisoft is trying to sort it out but if people aren't allowed to share their feelings ad experiences then what the hell are these forums for exactly?
Get over it. People aren't always going to agree with you that everything is fine and dandy. People deserve to express themselves whether it is good or bad.
No. This should never be a thing for Assassin's Creed. Absolutely not.
In short. This is annoying. It happens far too frequently even if you've already raided the place. Also, the distance between the boat and opportunity that triggers the pausing of singing is too far. You don't have to get close before Eivor halts the crew from singing. It has become rather annoying, especially in Norway. Wonder if anyone agrees?
@ubimint Thank you so much for the reply. A little disappointed that I have to buy my helix content again but no matter
So Valhalla is cross progression? I’m guessing my Xbox saved games and helix content will be available on my PS5?
Hey so I’ve decided to move from Xbox to PS5. I downloaded the game and expected to see my saved games as well as my helix purchases available on the new console. It appears that’s not the case. I’ve made sure I’m logged into my Ubisoft Connect but still nothing. Am I wrong about how this cross progression thing works?
Edit: The game I’m talking about is AC Odyssey
@orcbeard92 I can only hope but Hadrian's wall will need to be moved up a notch. The space between York and the wall doesn't seem correct to me at all. It doesn't need to be accurate to the nth degree but the way they've spaced Northumbria leaves very little room for any of the above that I've mentioned. It's like they REALLY wanted the wall in the game but forgot that there is very important [censored] between the wall and Yorkshire. So they'll need to expand to the North for it to make sense geographically AND move the wall in the process which I highly doubt they'll do.
I just can't believe they made a Viking game set in England and left out Hexham, Monkwearmouth (Jarrow) and Lindisfarne. Not to mention the River Tyne. Man I'm so mad.
I've gotta say Ubi... You really screwed up the North. I'm a Geordie so I was excited to explore my area. We have some deeply important areas concerning the Viking invasion up here past York and it's as if you didn't read up on it at all and focused on the south. I'm really not surprised, to be honest...
What about Hexham? The first settlement to ever be pillaged by the Norse in England.
Lindisfarne? The very first location that the Norse landed in England.
Newcastle (Monkchester)? A very important Northumbrian fort created by the Romans. In 900AD it protected surrounding monasteries from Norse invaders.
It's as if you guys moved Hadrian's wall down to York if I'm honest. So much is missing in Northumbria. Considering how small the map is compared to Odyssey... Yeah. I think these things could have been added. Anyways, too late now. Ironically you guys have a studio here in Newcastle - I'm disappoint.
@ubi-keo So changing the refresh rate to 60FPS and switching to performance mode dampened the problem but not completely. I'm a little disappointed that I'm not able to use my console and TV to its full potential with this game. I have no issues with any other game. Even Odyssey has zero colour banding. If you still want a vid of the problem, let me know.
Hi, not sure if this is an intended 'feature' of the game but I'm getting some serious colour banding whenever I look up into the sky. I've tried messing with HDR settings and SDR settings together to try and solve the issue. Absolutely nothing outright gets rid of it. I've also tried messing with my TV settings. I've tried everything including switching my TV into PC mode. Nothing. I remember having similar issues with Origins but weirdly enough, Odyssey is fine. No colour banding on HDR at all. My TV is LG BX OLED. The banding is only happening whenever I look up Into the sky at day time. No banding in clouds or anything else. Any advice would be appreciated.
They've really screwed up here with the transmog. 50 silver AND you have to go to your settlement just to do it?
Absolute rubbish. Disappointed.
@liepaajasluusis Highly doubt they'll set the next game in the same or similar time period to Valhalla.
@ubi-woofer Apologies.
1. I am using the Xbox Series X
2. I'm using the Elite 2 controller although I have used the series x controller and have the same results.
3. The issue only seems to be with Valhalla. I've played various games since and have no problem with them except for random disconnections while playing Valhalla.
4. I haven't encountered the issue while in the menus. Certainly during gameplay.
5. My little brother has a profile on my Series x and I can confirm that it is happening there too.
Can confirm this has happened a few times. Series X elite 2 controller.
