Same here. I see it's now version 6.1.2.1. Crashes after clicking continue game, also crashes after trying to create a new game.
I'm on a PC, Win 10 Pro, 32GB, SSD, plenty of Hard drive space, Votac 1080TI graphics card.
Rock solid performance before the update from 6.1.2.0 to 6.1.2.1. Finished the game and was now doing the insurgency.
Tried running it 4 times; crashed each time.
@wild-recon I could not disagree more with you, unless you added to the end of the title "for me". Because we all have different play styles and difference interests. For me, I am loving it - the realism, the AI, the quality of the scenery. As another example of what's not good for one may be good for others - the 3rd person cut scenes... I find them WAY more compelling then seeing every cut scene from the eyes of the protagonist.
So I'm not suggesting FC 6 should be a great game for you, but it is a great game for me... and many others. There are bugs and refinements to be made post launch of course... but I have not found anything yet that was an enjoyment killer.
Take care and hope it grows on you.
@slim5oh So let me see if I understand this. We have the most expansive FC game ever, played on multi platforms. We have PC players that have probably a thousand variations on video cards and 10,000 variations on the pc components they use. All kinds of different video card drivers, some out of date. We have players who report stuff that is in fact their own fault (prefs set incorrectly, etc.). And on and on and on and on... and we should be angered that it has been two weeks and UBI hasn't issued a patch?
I don't agree to describe the special ops in 6 as "pretty dreadful". As a single player, I found the ones I did challenging.
But I will agree in part to say you are right about the variety factor that New Dawn has. And ND really ramps up the difficulty on replay which I also love a lot compared to 6. 6 attempts to ramp it up, but I feel the whole "stay in shade and keep the pg cool with water" works at first but then becomes so repetitive. At higher levels, it is quite frustrating for a single player, as the timer counts down awful fast. I really would have wished they just did the pg cooling bit in one or two special ops and reverted to the "package" style of ND for the rest.
@ubi-karl A couple of things.
I appreciate that a UBI representative such as yourself reads these posts. But since UBI never talks back (I'm speaking broadly, like giving the community some feedback on what they see as matters they will be working on), I've come to the conclusion that this is an attempt by UBI to *appear* interested, but really not so. It rings hollow because UBI is silent.
Secondly, even if there are some that take the AI and like it, this is 2021, not 1998. I expect in 2021 that different levels of players can have levels that they can enjoy - and not a one size fits all. That's what difficulty levels are suppose to be for - people playing at a level that suits them. So the fact that the AI suits some people and not others is not a justification for UBI blowing off those of us that don't want to fight with and as bullet sponges. Leaving us out - we are the people that have been loving the FC series for years - is a strategic mistake. There may have been an excuse for this in game made in1998, but there is none in 2021.
Heck even FC 1 had a range of difficulty levels. FC 2 actually added infamous after launch. All of them had levels that offered both a challenge and immersion. But not FC 6 overall.
Take for example snipers. In new dawn they are deadly. In FC 6 I just about have to get 100' away and do a dance to get their attention. I mean 'cmon.
Really, if UBI is not interested enough to keep the community informed on *their* thinking why should teh community be interested enough in telling our friends what a great game this could be. And buying future UBI games.
I've been wanting to love FC 6 but because of certain things only liked it. Now Title 5 gave us a higher difficulty level, outpost resets, loadouts and multiple ammo for a weapon (when available).
I am so very happy. Please a big thank to all programmers, managers and graphic artists.
Lov'n it. Thank you thank you.
FC 6 is, without a doubt, now that Title 5 update is in place, the best FC game of all of them. So when people write how awful it is, I just don't get it.
There once was a game in gaming land that came out of nowhere. The people who played it were amazed at the sense of open world, the combat, and the plot. The word rapidly spread, here was a superior game. Shouts of "More, more, more!" could be heard throughout gameland.
The words were heard. A company called UBIsoft decided to buy the game, and develop a sequel. The sequel would bring along the sense of open world, an even larger story, and more weapons into the mix. The developer added additional features, such as a buddy system and tape recordings of the bad guy. These additional features were not required to be used. Indeed some users would enjoy them and others ignore. It was all good in gaming land. Shouts of "More more more" were again heard throughout the kingdom.
And there would be more. Fans of the series could hardly wait. The new game, #3, would explode into the gaming world with a force that was never heard before. It featured an even bigger and more complex story, more freedom of player choices, a ton of weapons, both stealth and crazy combat. It also feature a lot more side activities, which although still not required, exponentially increased player choices. And like #2, players could choose to do them or ignore them. It was all good still in gaming land.
Again, shouts of "more more more" could be heard. #4 came along with a new story, some new twists in game play, and another great villian.
"More more more" could be heard with a rising pitch and energy that shook the gaming world. "We want more!!!!! But make it different and keep it the same".
The developer listened. In every respect, #5 crashed down all the boundary's in terms of story and world. They didn't just add more player side activities and expand player choices, in almost every respect #5 exploded in player choices and activities. Again, the quest "extras" could often be safely ignored by the player.
And then there was 6, which exploded once again all the boundaries as well as player choices. The world was bigger, and there was a huge amount of side activities that players could choose to do, like chicken fights. Or they could ignore. In fact, #6 had so many choices, which gave players many choices in game play, that some were heard in gaming land complaining about game design. Sonic and visual design exceeded all previous Far Cry games. And combat, after a "Title 5 update", was more than exciting especially in the added "Guerilla" difficulty mode. Great care had been taken during development to help the majority of players have a better combat and stealth experience.
The echos of disdain for #6 reverberated by those most vocal in the community. "I hate Supremos! - I want my money back." "What, only Amigos? I want my money back". "Worst FC ever!" was heard loudly, which confused the developer as well as legions of less vocal players who were busy enjoying the game.
"It's not exactly as I want it!!!!" Cries of persecution could be heard in the community. "The developer doesn't care!!! They haven't done what I wanted".
The developer was confused, although there were many valid complaints most of which where eventually resolved by the developer, there was a platitude of gamers who didn't know they could play #6 as they wanted. Or choose not too.
Meanwhile, in quiet homes throughout gameland, millions of players were enjoying #6 the way *they* want to play it.
You don't hear much from us, because we are too busy freeing the people of Yara.
"I hope someday you'll join us... and the world will live as one..."
Since day 1 of the new forums... I arrive at a forum page... it recognizes me for a few seconds, then logs me out, requiring me to log in manually.
It's one of those small annoying things.

I run with a clean screen, everything shut off except certain messages. Today my version went to 6.1.2.0 and suddenly enemies outline when they are injured. So I can see them now through solid objects. I'd rather they not be seen. Again, this is only after an enemy is injured. I've gone through all the preferences and outlines are off (and even if they were on, it is set to a different color than red).
Help. As a revolutionary in Yara, I don't have access to xray vision glasses.
Again - just to emphasize... with version 6.1.1.0 it worked perfectly, with 6.1.2.0 it does this. Hope it can be fixed, its an immersion killer for me.
I feel your pain. I found that aspect of the DLC game play frustrating and unsatisfying. I don't have infinite time to the play a DLC.
I really liked the base game, but the DLC's... not at all.
I have to say this upcoming DLC isn't my cup of tea. I was very excited to hear about a new DLC and thought that the FC 6 story might have a part 2, even if it were just a short adventure. But alas, no.
I own the 3 FC6 DLC's and they did little for me either.
Indeed, the last and only FC DLC I loved and thought it was creative and exciting, even though it did not continue the FC5 story was Hours of Darkness. Still replay that from time to time.
But as for "lost", well, it is to me. But I hope it is successful for the company. I like FC games.
Could not agree more! I've played FC 6 a whole lot over the last year, and got a ton of enjoyment out of it. Thank you UBI.
@DevinPomsilina My friend and I played the game coop and we had a good time. Keep in mind that FC 6 is a game that does not shoe-horn you in to play a certain way, or proceed a certain way.
Yes... use something called the libertad mod. Once you install the mod manager (quite easy), there are an assortment of things you can do to the game. You can stay in 1st person in camps, among a number of other cool things. There a menu in the mod manager, you can pick and choose how you want to mod FC 6. And it's trivial to uninstall any or all mods.

I read threads like this, after playing through FC 6 on my PC several times, including in coop mode, and I have to scratch my head. FC 6 is well done, enjoyable combat and interesting story. Maybe there are two different versions out there? The one's that people complain about and the one that others, like myself, enjoy.
@valorin I've seen the scene you are referring too. Dani is a bit shocked because the implication comes out of nowhere - she thought she was delivering (and helping) "cargo" (of people) to escape the island.
But I will say this about the overall scene - at the time it caused me to think about its implications and caused me to think about the horror that goes on both in undeveloped and developed countries. And that in itself is not a bad thing. People tend to want to switch the channels sometimes myself included to look away. Said another way, FC 6 is not a "teaching game" but it was when I saw that scene.

@steve64b Hey thanks! I'm installing it now! I've been wanting something like this since release!
